Thank you very much for this video. I learned more in one video than in the whole semester at college. Thanks again. Also it would be very helpful if you show us how can we change this 3D model in to a 2D sketches for production line. Thanks.

Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad to hear the video was helpful for you. I’ll create a video demonstrating how to convert a 3D model into 2D sketches in the near future. Stay tuned!

Nana... here's something you may be able to answer for me: Can one animate an object (not camera) along a path AND vary its speed along that path? This is terribly easy within Maya, but so far I'm running into walls in Inventor. Thanks :)

@@keithyakouboff8755 Hi! I‘m glad to hear from you again. I have done something similar with one of my tutorials where I animated fluid flow in inventor studios. After creating the path, use the "Animate" feature to set keyframes for the object's motion. To vary the speed along the path, adjust the time intervals between keyframes-reducing the time for sections where you want faster movement and increasing it for slower sections. I hope you find this helpful…

@@CAD_by_NANA I may find it useful? I will try to implement this and see. Thank you. And, thank you for such a quick reply.

@@CAD_by_NANA I cannot seem to accomplish what you suggested here. I am in the Assembly environment. The model was brought in in parts, with parts placed and constrained accordingly. There is a 2D CAD drawing that was also brought in to guide my assembly work, and to help me visualize how the parts need to move. I made a new sketch in Inventor based on this CAD drawing, to draw in an animation path over the appropriate CAD objects. The only tutorial I can find on this subject involves an extremely convoluted path to get a working animation. That video is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4K8dmaJZp12m7s When I tried this technique, I could not select the "feature" to be patterned along the path. The path itself though was selectable. This is not the first time I tried this, so I know this is no fluke. I figured that maybe the Assembly environment had something to do with the difficulty. The tutor in the linked video sets everything up in pre-assembly mode. Unfortunately, in the way I constructed this scene, there are no usable pre-assembly files to work with. The CAD drawing would make the most sense, and I opened it up. But, it seems to be disconnected from the CAD drawing lines I have in my Inventor assembly file. I am mystified as to what happened here. And, the bottom line, is that I cannot create the parameter animation set-up in a pre-assembly mode. Geez I hope that all made sense. And, sorry for the novel. I think my only recourse is to do this by eyeball, attempting a component animation. This will lack precision, but I can get pretty darn close. Of course, I don't know how my boss wants to manipulate this, so that may be a problem -- or not -- down the line. Anyway, there ya go!

There was no "60-1" option. I'm using 2024... Also tried 2025, same thing.

Hi We’re you able to figure it out?
@keithyakouboff8755Ай бұрын
@@CAD_by_NANA Thanks for following up. No, I put it down and moved on to another tutorial. My window looked like yours, so I know I had the correct thing open. The 60-1 was no where to be found. It's okay. Oftentimes the way tutorials go and the way Inventor's behaving are not aligned. It's frustrating, but there's nothing I can do about it. I just wish I could get back into visual effects. Anyway, thanks again.
