I love that dust collection setup. I'm going to make something similar for my CNC.

It would be nice if you showed or mention how to set or change the spindle speed setting. Great to see a project made using the IQ. I really would like to see something made using the vertical hold down fixture that can be seen on the machine in the video. The ability to cut past the end of the bed is a feature that I am not sure a lot of other machines have and ut would be great to know how to use it

Great video, thanks. Quick question. Why did you use the tool touch off on the spoil board vs. the material?
@LagunaTools2 жыл бұрын
Hi Zsolt, We designed the file in the software to touch off on the bottom of the material. He’s touching off on the spoilboard because that is the bottom of the material.

Awesome thanks. As a complete novice, I was wondering what is the accuracy one can achieve on a mass production doing this process? Meaning if I set specific sizes with the cnc, how accurate will be let's say the actual inside cut compared to the settings? Because I have 200 ceramic dishes (rectangle shape) and I would like to have 200 trays made and then put the dishes inside the trays (I'd like them to fit as precise as possible without leaving to much of a gap). Would you say too much variation occurs among the trays causing some dishes to fit and some don't?

Hey there. The average tolerance and repeatability on the CNC is +/- 0.002. This should work fine for your application.

How would you taper the sides to a more rounded corners at the bottom of the tray?
@LagunaTools2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jerry! You can use a ball-nose endmill bit to produce a more rounded inside profile on the tray. Hope this helps!
@acerjuglans3832 жыл бұрын
You could use a larger diameter bit to get a more rounded corner. I have a 1-1/4" core box bit that I use for my trays.
