wow, that's very useful, kinda differs from the way I test my laser machine, but this way is definitely not worse than mine

Take a blowlamp and scorch wood. Depending on the speed, you get SURFACE colours from light brown to almost black. Why does black engraving have to be A) so deep and B) so messy? Sand paper seems to be fixing a problem that should not exist.

You are absolutely right. Color and engraving depth options depend on speed and power. Thanks for the comment.

@@Wattsan . Hi. Your answer confirming colouring organic materials is related to speed and power illustrates a lack of understanding about lenses and laser beams. Lenses amplify the the INTENSITY of the laser beam and ALL lenses are CUTTING tools. More power (or slower speed ) means you get a deeper CUT not a darker engraving. Colour is caused by the lower intensity OUTER part of the laser beam and happens because you have created circumstances that you observe but do not understand. It will take far too many words to explain but you can see a FULL explanation how this power/speed matrix fools everyone here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJKYkGmloLqsgck
