(1:00) That is incorrect. The "masthead" is the explanation of who all helped make the magazine, which is (generally) found just after the table of contents. It comes from the "head of the mast" of a sloop (called the "crows nest") where you could see all the people onboard and what they were up to. The logo is called the "nameplate", because originally in the days of Guttenberg it was literally a unique plate that was hand-crafted with the name of the magazine so typesetters didn't have to worry about screwing up the name of the pamphlet by misstacking (source of the word "mistake") the letters.
