I think that a lot of receipts actually have pretty high concentrations of PFA’s, so perhaps the compost bin is a bad destination for the muck.

I use a cement mixer. Fill with water and add in the paper stuff you want to destroy.

The paper needed to be ripped up pretty good and it took about 2 weeks to be soft enough to use my big drill with my drywall mixer to get through the tote of paper. Once was enough. It was 100% effective for security but a PIA to do. Using an old charcoal grill every month or so now.
