Ever heared of allied air supiriority? Yeah even if the bomb doesnt knock out the tank it will shurely give the supporiting infanterie near it one hell of a time. In other words they had the upper hand over the german infanterie with their K98 bolt action rifles.

After watching this video, an American would know: - where tank armor is weak and where it is strong - where tanks can and can't shoot - that making it look like something weird is happening will force the tank commander to poke his head out - that shooting will force the tank commander to "button up" - how to use teamwork and cover to get close to an enemy tank While facing up against multiple tanks with infantry support would be far more difficult than facing a lone tank, the application of these principles would still be the key to success. As such, the video does its job.

As silly as it sounds, my squad would form Hunter/Killer groups in Battlefield V, a game set in ww2. We'd outfit with an MMG, or LMG, a couple assault rifles, and a medic, along with a lot of AT weapons. This way we could engage errant squads on foot, or armour as we found it. We employed a lot of these techniques during our time playing. Laying mines in vulnerable areas like enemy resupply points, setting up ambushes with the MMG, and deploying smoke into the face of enemy tanks to blind them, so we could plant explosives on them, or at the very least, drive them off. We did surprisingly well. Granted, it's a game and not real life, but still. It did well.

Silly answer. More like tanks have infantry support because of this. Also it would be silly to have infantry run into a strayed tank and can't deal with it because they don't have this basic training. Finally a lot of stuff happens in a war. Yeah tanks are supposed to be deployed in platoons with infantry support... But just give it a few months of war or a few hours of battle and you can run into very unusual situations: platoon got broken apart or decimated, tank got stuck while infantry retreated... And so on...

Yup, imagine bieng the guy who earns a fat hole in the stomach while still in the landing craft... Although it would be the same for all nations. Imagine you were a young Japanese man, going through all the training, vowing to bring pride and honour to your family and the Emperor, telling your family you are going to kill many of the invaders, and if you die you vow to take many of the enemy down with you. After all that, you get deployed in a pillbox as a machine gunner. You never do get to see the 'enemy', after a couple of quiet days you suddenly hear the door to the pillbox getting kicked open, some foreign guy shouting a strange word 'FRY!', and the next (and last) thing you feel is your body getting superheated to over 1000 degrees Farenheit. This would be the fate of many combatants on all sides....

When his dad would come over for beers Bosun would run down the dock and bark like crazy. He also (the little bastard) liked to take a shit behind my boat. So we found out one day that he was afraid of beer cans. Seems when he was a puppy a full one rolled off the table inside and knocked him in the head. So what we'd do is line up a row of empties along the dock about a foot apart and he couldn't get past...it was freaking hilarious....he'd come tearing down the dock, turn the corner and skid to a stop in front of the line of beer cans.....barking like a mad man. People used to knock em over so we added a sign: Bosun containment field do not disturb lololol

This is one of the few channels here that I can watch all day long without any problem. Vital history comes to us in many forms. Understanding how wars are fought gives people a priceless insight into a moment in history, and into the minds of the people called upon to do the fighting. It's been over 75 years and the people who fought the most important war of all time are passing way. But films like this preserve who they were, what they knew, and how they fought. To me and to others, these insights are truly priceless as we continue to make events matter to those who can't understand a vital need to know and understand history as they plan the future for themselves and other people. December 7th is a day like no other in American history. For America, it put us on the right side of a war against unspeakable evil. What was won along with "World War II" was the basis of the world we know today, even 75 and more years later. Find a Veteran today, and thank them for what they do for all of us, while remembering the history of all Veterans, who helped make the world today a better place thru the sacrifices of both yesterday and today.

I don't think the Sherman is useless, it's like a MBT, it fights/supports infantry, it kills other tanks, it's just that their armor and armament wasn't the best for the time
@ClingyCrab5 жыл бұрын
Justus Stern Since when is a Sherman useless? Last time I checked, a Sherman with a proper flank can take out a Tiger 2 with a single AP shell And no, I didn’t get this from Fury Also, who needs a Sherman when the Tigers and other heavy tanks will just lose their ability to move in the middle of combat due to a shitty transmission?
@SuperLegendaryBanana5 жыл бұрын
bluewaffle 45 US Army Armored Divisions 3 and 4 had a 3.6 - 1 kill ratio in their favor. That’s 3.6 German tanks killed for every Sherman killed. Good try with your bullshit myth though.

Ah yes, stand on top of the house so that the tank can’t elevate it’s gun all the way up Your roof is now a flying carpet

Almost no WWII era tank could level a solidly built, house-sized structure before a guy on the roof could use an anti-tank weapon and scarper.
@dieluftwaffe62964 жыл бұрын
@@thehermeticgamer3736 most late war tanks had good elevation angles allowing them to blow at least the second floor using HE shells. This way the guy on the roof is kaput.

@@royalteluis623 I think some of the bigger Russian assault guns could do the same. But these were incredibly rare AFVs compared to those that couldn't. Like Stug IIIs, Panzer IVs, Shermans, T34s or T34-85s
