Finally the Judas manga got an anime adaptation. I’m really impressed that they kept the goose murder chapter. Most fans think it’s filler but I think it’s one of the most dense chapters in terms of character development and establishing motivation. I can’t wait until the Thousand Year Goose Revenge Arc gets an adaptation.

I did a playthrough where I started as a peasant, then became a merc, rose to become the Emperors vassal then a year later I was chopping his head off. Truly a Caesar Roman power play moment for me.

That's 100% correct :) What I usually do is break away, sue for peace, spend a year or so building up the fiefs (better defense, upgrade influence buildings, etc.) and then go become a vassal for the next kingdom, rinse and repeat. The 1st vassal takes the longest and it gets significantly easier after that!

@@ICaligvla yes, but the trick is to have enough money to sue for peace. If you are a clan, you don't have to spend money per day to keep kingdoms off of you. You can just spend one large chunk and suddenly you are safe again. Just make sure to have extra money for closed fisted characters, because they always hit your bank harder than generous ones.

@@1982bored how far did you go in KCD? Because in the start the combat is brutal and your guy is an untrained peasant who can't even block any attacks. The combat is great for duels, but a nightmare when fighting multiple opponents. Bannerlord's system is far better for directional free form combat, though there's no fast thrust vs strong swings

Have to say that I absolutely love the "drain influence" shenanigans in Bannerlord. Sad thing is that given how stupid the AI actually is, this may be the only way to either enforce some good policies or prevent your kingdom from going to war vs the rest of Calradia. You need to be a bit careful though, coz other kingdom(s) may declare war on you and having drained the kingdom vassals dry, they will be unable to form their own armies and defend. Currently playing this game on Xbox and from what I've seen one of the best ways of farming influence is to abuse the "donate troops" mechanism. You just need to form an army with your spouse or other family member (they need to have a party of their own) and just support them with the best troops you have. Strait after that you can get those troops back, rinse & repeat. Tried that move several times earlier today. Donating something like 90+ Fian champions (or however these guy are called) + some cavalry to waifu for 105 influence each turn. Caladog was absolutely crying with his pathetic 160 influence while I was forcing a yet another peace agreement with the Khuzaits. To be fair - I really like this exploit fest. M&B has always been a bit clunky, so I appreciate the laugh - especially that theoretically one can just not use those flawed mechanics if they really like to be legit & all that stuff.

I once had a similar plan, but not near as wicked. Leading the shifty Apple Bandit clan I started out from Battania so I could make friends with Vlandian lords (catch and release) and hoped to eventually get a nice town at the edge of the map before switching to Vlandia. It's been a long time, maybe I'll get back into Bannerlord, or maybe try a heavily modded Banner Kings campaign.

@@Strat-Guides I loved the Improved Garrisons (2.0?) mod, but you'll need to be careful or it will feel like cheating. And, if you let the garrisons level too high, will bankrupt you. I love the patrol, it helps against bandits a lot. And not having to travel, recruit and train noobs that die a lot. So I set the mod to automatically recruit up to a hundred and level slowly up to level 3. My savegame broke and I recreated it with the console (giving me a start army and money), but I went for independence to fast. The first fiefs I got were north of Ortysia and soon got neverending war with everyone, Battanions, Empire, Vlandia and even Aserai, all close... I was gonna get back into the game when the economy was fixed a bit, but haven't started a new game yet. I'm curious how it plays now.

Yeah I always have the RTS mod active. You can use it for topp-down command, but I pretty much exclusively use it to speed up time in towns/battles/hideouts etc. IMO this should be a feature in the base game, I can't play without it now.

Thank you! Lol yeah I probably should have been a bit more clear :P The charm 275 perk helps a ton, but also some of the other charm perks that boost battles influence gain. You can get 70 - 90 influence in a single battle, especially if you catch a solo party and defeat them by yourself. It all adds up pretty quickly. So this style can work for a complete WC too - you can repeat with each kingdom and just neuter them completely, start executing people and do a solo-clan WC :)

As long as you don't execute anyone and you don't trash the fiefs you take (you get the option to raze, pillage or spare after you take a fief - you lose lots of relations for the first 2 options) then you'll be fine

So I'm part of Sturgia and I'm new to bannerlord what would be the best course of action for me if I wanted to own one of the towns in Sturgia? I know I can propose to give to someone else but it always get out voted help?

It's tough to get Sturgian lands as a Sturgian vassal. The most reliable way is to kick everyone out of the clan and own half their lands lol but it takes a long time. I would probably join another kingdom that borders them, help take Sturgian fiefs, get voted the owner of them, then leave the kingom with those fiefs and join back with Sturgia. Make sure you doing ruin relations with Sturgia by executing or pillaging fiefs, keep a high relations so they will let you join them again.

I did this on accident once while playing a modded play through. I got sick of derthy handing my fiefs out like I wasn’t the one who lead all the sieges. So I gave myself unlimited influence banished all the lords from Vlandia took all his fiefs I think I left him with like 5-6 to his family clan then left the kingdom while keeping all my holdings. The only thing I should’ve done was f up his economy like you did by forcing tribute payment. I will implement this tactic next time. Loved the setup of the video ❤ btw

This has been one of my favorite ways to play a campaign; the traitor. Join early on, do everything in my power to make the lords like me and dislike the king, capturing lots of officers and then releasing them near the King's domains hoping the lords will respawn closer and attack his areas, destroying the economy of his fiefs by completely monopolizing things, before finally (using Diplomacy mod) forming a sub-faction, causing a civil war, and then seceding to start my own kingdom allied with the rebels. Takes awhile, usually by the time I get my kingdom rolling in this style my children are almost adults (at 2x growth speed), but it sets you up very nicely for the early-kingdom game. As long as you help the rebels keep the kingdom at bay for awhile. I usually go with the Khuzaits, Vlandians, or Southern Empire for these runs, they have a couplereally nice defensive positions to start a kingdom in

Derthert was my op. Once his army was super small so I defended them and kidnapped derthert, planed to sell him but he escaped. Tried to take him on 2 times after that lost my whole army both times. So on the third time after leaving a big battle I attacked him and won, initially I planned on taking out his whole fam cuz he’s my op. But I had him and his men where moving in fast so I killed him. im working on an aseria playthrough where I can buy out the entire kingdom. don't know if it will work though. what happens to aseria if their faction and all clans leaders have no cities or castle. will they just dissapear? or wander around doing other things as parties on the maps?

They won't disappear, but will still declare war on people and just be a general nuisance lol Eventually the non-king clans will jump ship and go to other kingdoms because they have no fiefs, but for the first year or two you'll still see most of them roaming around and raiding everyone.

another good way is to use a mod that allows you to marry more than one person and stay as your clan no matter who that person is then marry all the heirs of the clans you can then only work as a merc for the time required never ask to be made a vassal and dont join any faction keep your army as small as possible using mainly family members and a small number of high tier troops to fight from a defensive stand point and while aiding allies in battle have death come to said allies if its in battle you wont be blamed and the clan that lost the member will lose a general and also a large amount of power within the kingdom i used this to become the most powerful kingdom in sturgia and was voted king by a vote of 99 to 1 by all the minor clans

If it's a fief they start the game with, you cannot take it. You can only guarantee the ones that go to them when people are kicked from the kingdom and a vote is called.

There are a few ways you can do it quickly - combat is usually one of the easiest early on. I recommend having a small group of highly mobile troops (horse archers, cavalry, or high tier infantry with ridable mounts) and seek out enemy solo parties. You can often capture 1 - 2 per day and get 25 - 50 influence per battle which adds up quickly. Another way is to fight militia guarding villages. You can easily fight 3 - 5 in a single day and auto resolve them all with very few casualties, earning 10 - 15 influence per battle. Policies can help, charm perk 275 and help, etc. It's not that there is one "magic trick" but a combination of several things :)

There's no way to prevent that - you need to save up cash and pay them for peace, then use that short peace time to grow as fast as you can, hiring clans or promoting companions, etc. If you focus on one kingdom at a time, you'll do just fine.

I'm thinking of doing this in my vlandia playthrough and using vlandian only companions to promote once existing ones are out the kingdom...my question is do you lose relation massively by expelling a clan out making it hear impossible to recruit I future ? As I would like to eventually get them clans into the new swadia I am creating ?

You do lose some relations, but it's not on the same scale as executing someone so I think it's still doable. You could use some of the influence saved up to vote with them on unrelated votes, which will give you max relations after 3 - 4 votes (with high charm)

We're both kind of in the same boat lol it's the last piece of the game that I need to cover but I still don't have enough info to cover it completely. It doesn't seem like they do much other than helping/hurting with chat checks. I don't think the AI acts differently with different traits, at least from what I could see in testing. And I still don't know how all of them are leveled lol I've been taking notes for over a year now but they level up so randomly it's hard to pin them all down! Once I get enough info I'll do a guide on it.

You need to keep voting until they stop, which usually is when they run out of influence or get low on influence. That's why you need to save up a lot!

For the influence I did near the begging just to speed it up since it's for a video, but I've done this a couple times in legit campaigns (Vercingetorix running on my second channel I did this exact thing) but honestly it's not that hard to get a ton of influence. If you get a couple charm perks and win small battles by yourself (no other clans in the battle other than your own companions or family members) then you should be able to get 3k - 5k influence in a year or so. I did it again today on steam using an exploit that you can do from pretty much the start of the game lol

My brother in Christ, within the first 3 minutes of the video there are a dozen indicators that your game save is not legitimate and a tonne of cheats have been used. This formatting is a mess bro. Ignoring the fact you bought tens of thousands of denar worth of goods immediately without so much as a man to your name, you had exactly 145 men 5 days into the game with 100K gold. A day later, you went from 45 influence to 98 (or 100-2) influence in a 2 day siege where all of your men got rekt and you did 0 damage with almost every kill/injury credited to your party and got recommended the fief by almost every vassal (you got rekt and spammed the kill all command). You also magically go from having a mixed army of 145 Vlandians to 300 Vlandian Banner Knights to the party in the very next siege less than a week later. This is just a taster of the info you're displaying on screen. If you just want to show off a bug, that's cool. Don't dress up the video in RP bs to extend run time and give an air of legitimacy to how you got there. Just straight up drop the narrative structure. If you're going for a narrative structure that shows off a bug you found, actually get to that point legitimately. It's very easy to do what you're doing when you can just cheat in 3K influence with 100,000 gold, the person following your guide isn't interested in a cheat menu, replicate the actual steps the player should experience as you're calling it a "guide". Could you pull this strategy off without cheating in literally everything you need to set up this scenario? If not, you're not posting a guide, you're just highlighting engine limitations calling it a guide.

It's a guide - I didn't run a 60 hour campaign just to show off a couple things, that would be a total waste of my time. I've done this plenty of times in full campaigns before, but the recordings would be harder to work with, so it's easier to load up a fresh save and use console commands to demonstrate the strategy. Check my Let's Play channel for runs that were SIGNIFICANTLY harder than this - like conquering the whole world without using any units. Chill out bro it's a KZbin guide, not a PhD dissertation lol nobody was harmed by making the video in this way.

​@@Strat-Guides I respect the fuck out of the fact that you took the time to respond and even liked the comment without getting upset over criticism. Genuienly dude, thank you for being a legend. I get that you're trying to skip doing all the work before, you've mentioned that you do this stuff on streams and you've done it plenty of times before. If that's the case, why did you go the effort of writing a whole ass narrative script and making it look like you're doing this in a campaign? It takes up almost half the video and you could have just used the clips from your let's plays and other campagins man. I get not wanting to go back through old material but is it really any more difficult that writing a whole script, doing up a dodgy save game, playing out a month long campaign with cheats and editing it all together? The reason it bothers me as a viewer is twofold and related to each other. First, it comes across as you trying to pad the run time on your video for algorithmic reasons and as someone who has very little free time it's disrespectful as hell to be doing that. I'm not going to say that was your intention, I don't know what was going through your head at the time, I'm just telling you how it comes across as a viewer who up until now didn't realise you're one of like 10 dudes online who actually respond to audience comments on old content. If I didn't have you explain that you're trying to save time and think it's fun, I'd assume you're one of the thousand strategy channels that fake their gameplay to impress viewers. Secondly and lastly, when you put together a guide on something like this people are going to try to replicate it. If you don't make it clear that you used cheats to demonstrate how this works and that it takes 60 hours to get to the point where you can do this, what do you think is going to happen? You dressed the video up as a fresh character with a whole ass campaign backstory, just skipping to where you've got a "small" army. A new player who doesn't know to check the UI for indications of cheats when watching "guides" is going to be like "oh I can do this with my army of 50 legionaires!" only to never build up enough contrbution or influence to get landed in the first place. It wastes their time, potentially disillusions them with the game and loses you a potential fan. I know it's frustrating but you've got to consider the lowest common denominator. I work in the sales and marketing industry and it's 3/4 of my job to successfully predict how someone is going to react to something so I have to do the same thing and it's annoying but it will genuienly help you grow your channel if you've got that in mind. Tonality over text isn't great, try to avoid reading into tone. As I said, I work in the sales industry and I'm obviously a computer nerd. Put together 180 WPM typing speed with someone who is a professional yapper. I'm not having an aspy meltdown with a PHD dissertation, I can just write more than the average person and as a result can write a comment like this up in less than 5 minutes. I would know, I wrote this while taking a dump on my work break.

@DemonicGoat117 I understand where you're coming from. It takes me about 5x longer to write up a script than it is to load up a game and just explain things off the cuff. I was trying to come up with an interesting storyline to make the guide more interesting. This was back when I was trying to figure out what I was doing lol I don't do these types of videos with guide anymore - I do heavily edited challenge videos though, but that's more of an appropriate format than a guide for this style. Also props for having a fast WPM while on the can lol that's impressive! I'm writing this on my phone and I probably can't manage half of that and it will have a bunch of autocorrect BS...

It's just super mismatched with the type of video you're going for and as mentioned before could have unintended consequences like misleading newer players who are going to try to imitate this and fail. I'm not a content creator and I'm just one dude tho so obviously all with a grain of salt. People love your videos and you clearly make good content, I still watched most of it even though I knew the gameplay was fake asf and I didn't know it was even possible to collapse a kingdom like this so you clearly know the game mechanics super well. Keep up the good stuff and thanks for taking the time to chat with someone who was critical without getting upset or resorting to denial in addition to namecalling which is what usually happens. Lol it's in good fun :) It's so much more fun when you have a mortal enemy to beat up on! So this one was mostly done with console commands just to make the story go smoothly, but I literally just did the exact same thing in my Vercingetorix campaign that I'm running right now on the 2nd channel and I'm at day 500ish. It's always the first kingdom you cheat that is the hardest, but once you get a few towns with influence buildings it's sooo much easier! And having charm 275 makes it go way faster too. Vercingetorix I don't have charm leveled up.

Just the usual ones that don't change gameplay mechanics - RTS mod to speed up battles, character reloader to adjust character looks (I had to copy my wife's model and paste the Judas on her model since I can't control companions in towns - for the final scene).
