It must be this. I was thinking the same thing. The Classifying of fights as such they would not satisfy a fight deal simply seems outrageous of an oversight. There’s so many people looking at that bout agreement to miss that. But lacking a guarantee does seem like enough of a technical offense one might pursue. However, as I’m sure you’ll get to, Frank has seen the magistrate more than a lifelong petty criminal. He doesn’t always win but h usually has a reason. And if that’s the reason, there’s far too many things Yarde could have done that his team may not even consider as a reason to justify Frank’s action in this assumed case but it could very well make sense. Eg is yarde outpricing himself egregiously by design ? Thus extending his contract period and maybe Yarde was hoping a timeline would trigger to release him. But maybe Frank is saying not so fast , bouts agreed to take precedent over contract duration so Yarde would be screwed in this scenario holding out when Frank knows his next fight can’t be a journeymen so he’s waiting for his cut of a mega fight. Especially if he’s courting Saudi money. All interesting stuff!

The fact of the matter is Yarde just doesn’t want to face anyone on his level a Buatsi, Hutchinson, Callum Smith and Dan Azeez are on his level but has avoided these calibre of fighters because the risk is too high compared to reward whereas facing a Kovalev or Betebiev he wasn’t expected to win those fights and even if he lost its not that damaging compared to losing to his home country rivals. So to sum up Yarde’s career its either tomato cans and taxi drivers or elite of the elite fighters he is willing to face which is such a shame the way his career has panned he’s like in his early 30s and still hasn’t won a world title.

Have to agree with this. I'm a big fan of Anthony, and whatever the truth of the situation it seems like he has far more to lose here than anyone else. As long as Yarde isn't on PEDS (just going from his body shape and muscle mass) then he is a classic dangerous powerful brawler and will be badly affected by ring rust and needs to be active and have momentum on his side, and people will probably think this is nuts but I believe an on form peak condition Yarde could clean out the division because Buatsi is not in his league. Beterbiev is going to get old in the ring any day now (hopefully not before he faces Bivol) and Bivol while prime and athletic and skilful is too small and light punching to handle Yarde imo. What waste, swallow some pride, think without ego and take the opportunities now before it's too late.

in boxing these days Queensbury and Matchroom are working so closely they are almost the same company. And if you have a dispute with one of them the other promoter won't touch you with a bargepole. And these are the only two companies that will get the mega money Yarde seems to be demanding. So yes other promoters are getting fighters on the Saudi show's but I feel you will never see Yarde or Okolie on a Saudi show unless Turki requests it because of the stupid decisions those boxers made.

In all fairness, Yarde got fast tracked and he's not even supposed to be fighting at the level he's currently on. Started boxing in his late teens with no more than 15 amatuer fights. Very impressive to be honest, so he has nothing to lose. Front experience alone, he shouldn't have even been in the ring with dudes Beterbiev and Kovalev let alone putting up great fights. He's sucessful in his own right and pretty much has nothing to lose.

Frank protected him all the way to the top, he wasn’t matched with a single undefeated fighter on route to a world title shot, which he went onto lose. In fact, he’s only ever fought two undefeated fighters at all; Arthur which he lost to but later avenged, then Beterbiev which was his SECOND world title shot.
