5:28 how do you know when to give xenon or other heavy center atom additional lone pairs? I never understand when to give high molecular weight center atom additional lone pairs, and how many of them. It's not given on my exam and I'm really lost

Electron geometry = base design Molecular = based on how many lone pairs Here's what I hate though why do we care for electron geometry if the molecular geometry is what gives me the actual shape?
