I think the thing I like best about your stylist, besides being talented, is how knowledgeable she is. Now, she may not be knowledgeable, but she convinces me that she is, in fact and deed, very wise. That quality would make me comfortable putting my hair in her hands. 🥰

I’m so glad you addressed this issue. Many women don’t realize how often they need to get trims if they have gone short. A half inch of growth can really modify the style and also make it hard to maintain the style. Thanks for all your good tips!
@cindyanderson1755Ай бұрын
I agree. I get my pixie trimmed every 4 weeks. A friend of mine gets her's trimmed every 3 weeks. And ask for lots of texture, blunt cuts are not a pixie cut's friend. Also using the right hair products for your hair and what style you are going for. That's my 2 cents 😊. I've had my hair cut in a pixie of one form or another for the last 20 years. Long hair is not my friend, It drags my face down, which makes me look older and frumpy.
@donnaalpertАй бұрын
@ Completely agree, Cindy. Texture is the pixie cut’s best friend!

I like the way you don’t just mention a product you explain what it is used for..The pixie cut really is perfect on you.One question about bad haircuts.I know I had a bad haircut.She used the razor and left a big space in between two sections of my hair.If a stylist makes that big a mistake should you risk going back to them?Do you confront them and ask for a free haircut to correct the mistake?Thank you and enjoy your holidays!

Thank you for sharing your tips, I have a short style and it’s very dependant on my products and expertise. Also for me when my colour starts to enter it’s 12 week my hair struggles with styling. 😊 Building a good relationship with your stylist is very important, I’m off to have my hair cut and coloured tomorrow, she will notice how much it has grown as I have been taking a hair, nail and skin multivitamin mainly for my nails but it’s made my hair grow fast. 😊 We always discuss how it has been or not that is most important I feel, then a chat on colour and finally the cut.. Your hair looks amazing as you take time to understand it and the products that work best.. thank you again x

Thanks for the refresher!! I was getting annoyed with my cut and watching this reminded me of some things I had stopped doing! I think I got lazy. Haha. And yes about the trims/cuts!!! My friend’s daughter went short and then she wouldn’t take her to get it cut. She was used to every 3-4 months! Hopefully she will start getting it cut more often. I let my daughter plan our cuts (she shaves hers under her long hair) so I go every 5 and it works out! The color and cut are just about grown out and I’m not annoyed. 😂😂😂❤❤❤

In the past I have had pixie styles of varying lengths and styles, and lots of highlights. I decided about a year ago to stop highlighting and grow my hair out a bit. Back to my natural dark brown ( I miss the bold highlights of blonde) because I wanted healthier hair and I have my hair about shoulder length now. I like the ease of not having to wash everyday or style it everyday, plus using less styling products but I do miss how cute my pixie was. At 53, this might be my last chance at length so I plan to wait a bit but I do see a pixie in my future.
@rhondapomeroy5695Ай бұрын
Great tips, great products , I will add if your hair is a little wavy or has some natural curl it might not spike as well because of its natural bend, you could use a straightener to help it but it might not spike as it begins to bend again or gets longer. Your stylist could help with that.

I’m a little late watching this Great video! I love your new style . It has taken me years to get the “ right cut” it wasn’t my stylist more me .. I’m a very warm person because of that I sweat so my hair would never style no matter what so as much as I love spikey cuts they don’t work for me. because I could get it right but 10 minutes later it would be wet with sweat even 50 below weather .. HOWEVER, watching your videos I’ve found toner which gives me more body even a little curl and the heated round brush which actually works on my short hair and because the heat doesn’t go in my scalp so much it doesn’t get so sweaty. I wish your hair dryer wasn’t so expensive also like the enjoy dry wax it d out went naked my hair greasy and I’m not allergic to it! So thanks for all these videos because they really do help Merry Christmas to you and your husband and Gracie .. Every 5 weeks for me ! Toner and cut!

Oh yeah, I don't dare allow my hair to stay in a towel very long b/c I too have cowlicks, several...it's easier for me to keep the hair from getting funky. Since I went to a layered bob from a non-layered I find it harder to get the back to look nice..I find it works best for me to go for a messy or 'chunky' look back there.

Hi Sharalee! I have already been able to tell that I got a really bad cut for the fourth time! Now I’m on a mission to find the right stylist. So, I have a favor to ask you - is there anyway that you can find out if your stylist networks with any other stylists that live in the Surprise, Peoria, or Glendale Arizona area? Is there any way to help find a stylist? I have taken pics of your hair to show her and she’s got the problem of not being able to speak up and say that she doesn’t know how to do it, instead she just grabs the clippers and shaves it too short! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

It's so difficult to find anyone who does a great pixie haircut anymore where I live (Wisconsin). Mine isn't straight enough to get it to spike like yours. I've purchased every product you use, as well as the $400 dryer! I've blown it backwards like you do, I got a hairdresser to watch the cut videos and cut my hair like yours, and it still doesn't look like yours. The wave takes over.

DON'T use the Zuvi hair dryer on the dry wax to soften! It blew up on my hair dryer face plate and in the edge around the face plate. 😢 I actually thought I ruined it, and not sure yet that I didn't. I used a regular hair dryer to soften the Enjoy dry wax before I got a Zuvi, it worked fine.
@SharaleesBoxOfChocolatesАй бұрын
Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened! You definitely never want to shield/cover the Zuvi dryer if it's on a setting with the light on. It should work fine to warm up the wax on the Style setting with the airflow attachment on and no light.
