Two weeks ago I cracked a 2019 wander Franco bowman sterling speckle refractor in a BGS 9. The subgrades were centering and surface 9s. Corners and edges 9.5. sent it to PSA. Got it back this morning and it was a 10.

Might want to clarify that for high value cards use PSA or Beckett. Obviously if you have a card only valued at $100 with a high grade you're not submitting to PSA or Becketts.

In general, I agree with you. However, if you have a card that you really believe is completely flawless, BGS might be the way to go. BGS 10's hold great value and if you get the black label, that sucker is wayyy more valuable than a PSA 10 (granted, the black label is so hard to get). Great content!!!

Great video, however psa and bgs magnify the card so much that it doesn't matter if it's black or white. They can verify the sharpness of the corners regardless of the color. Don't underestimate the level of scrutiny that these cards are under during the grading process.

When wiping the cards down with the micro fiber cloth you should lay the card on a flat surface instead of holding it with your fingers along the edges. Your fingers could be transferring skin oil or prints along those edges where you’re holding it. Instead lay it flat and use the penny sleeve to hold the card down while wiping it clean. You can do a half of the card and then rotate it around to do the other half, but never do it while holding it in your hands.

Dead on with your assessment. Only thing I'll say otherwise is there is a place for SGC over the other two. I just sent in a 1996 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor Jordan to SGC. Why did I do that instead of PSA or BGS? It has a printing bubble on the surface. PSA and BGS will destroy the card for that. Just like SGC destroys cards for centering. A SGC 7 will go for more then a PSA or BGS 5 of that same card.

Right, I don’t get why he is sending a kpj to get graded when the grade costs more than the card according to website. Maybe I’m missing something. Psa is so gross. Wish the card community would quit putting psa and Beckett on a pedestal. I get SGC cards don’t sell, but their 10s are so nice. Bet a lot of psa 10s would be 9.5 sgc.

I use SGC all the time. Have zero problem selling them. If you're trying to say a SGC card graded exactly the same as PSA or BGS goes for less, there's no disputing that. With the massive price difference in grading cost, it absolutely makes sense to use SGC over the other two if you're trying to do a quick flip with certain cards.

When you buy these raw cards, are you ever afraid they might be reprints? I am always afraid some of the higher dollar cards might be reprints because if the card is in PSA 10 condition, then most of the dealers wouldve probably sent the card in themselves already.
