I really like your small engine repair videos. I’ve been with you since you had your pop up camper. You’re right about the traveling channels dying. I was watching about 30 full timers living in their campers. All they talked about was how great it was living on the road. Now almost all have homes. Looking forward to watching your new channel. Good luck.

We really like your video's and have been watching since you were in the Pop Up Camper. We have learned so much from your lawn mower repair, we used to hire someone to maintain our equipment but now hubby does it himself. Good Luck on the new channel and we will keep watching the Off Grid one also!

I also would like to let people know that I ALWAYS use non ethanol fuel. I conducted a test of my own using ethanol fuel and non. After 1 season the scoring on the cylinder wall of the engine using ethanol was really bad. The other still looked brand new.
@jerrykoschney597519 күн бұрын
Everyone would be miles ahead using non ethanol fuel but it’s hard to find in some places, the engines run and idle so much better plus fuel stays viable for longer period of time. You should mention its benefits a little once in a while in your videos as a psa.

I used to own a small engine repair shop in the 90s. You need to charge $20 up front to look at the equipment. I used to always pour the gas into a clear jug before I done anything else to see if the mix was correct. Goodluck on the new channel

I'd say to premix the right ratio from day one. Too many people who don't understand the reasons why.

Wouldn't the trigger have to be wide open to check 2 cycle engines? Does starting fluid have lubricating quality for 2 cycle lubrication? Just asking.
@ShadeTreeMowerMechanic22 күн бұрын
Does not hurt to run a couple of seconds with starting fluid. You can tell if compression is bad by pulling the rope. The exhaust hole gives it all the air it needs so you don't have to worry about the throttle
@VickyGeagan22 күн бұрын
No it is just old fashion Either. It leads to very fast combustion.
