Love how you've shown different methods and actually tested on both to see which is more accurate! Really appreciate all your video contents that share your knowledge of manual pattern cutting in the digital Clo3d space, thank you so much!

Awesome tutorial! I've started scaling my images in Photoshop, I find it easier to get an accurate scale there.

Ahh amazing! I’d love your tips on how you get the best results.

@@ides.studio I just create a 1in x 1in square and scale my photo in photo shop to match. You can also scale by percentage. For example, if the reference is 1 in on your pattern, and when you bring it into clo the equivalent line is 3in, then divide 1/3 =.33. Scale your pattern by 33% to get the exact right scale. lmk if that makes sense.

Really good explanations. Especially the last part with adjusting length and width. Even the table of contents was a great addition. Had you considered using a wide yard stick in your initial shot instead of the 2" square and floor markings? We used one and it was helpful because we used the outline of the ruler to line the perspective crop and used the length to accurately match dimensions in the program. Please continue to make more videos.

Hello I’m trying to learn how to draft and grade my own patterns. What software are you using and how do you lock and secure your patterns to sell so no one will edit or copy them?

Hi there. I use CLO 3D for pattern making and 3D design. I sell my patterns on my website as PDFs and working CLO files. I basically secure them by copyright and asking people not to share or resell them. It's honestly just an honor system that I hope my users respect my work enough not to redistribute my patterns or make money off my work without their own contribution. So far nobody has exploited me or my work as far as I know 😊
