Clipping tails? you guys are clipping tails as you catch them what if i am going to catch and fillet my fish before i walk out? do i need to clip them? Thanks for the great videos!

Where I'm from you can remove any part that you could use to identify only guts tell your home

I've watched the hordes of people dip-netting when driving to Seward and in other locations and gave it a try once when invited by a native family to go and even though I was military and pretty much in tip-to-condition, dip-netting is VERY HARD WORK!!! Question: You mentioned that since its sports fishing you should clip off the tail fins; why is this necessary? And, is it required?

Kenneth Elston they clip the tails to abide by Dept of fish and game regs imposed so that people can’t sell the fish. It’s meant to feed the family not line their pockets. Only required if you want to keep your fish and gear if stopped by them.
