I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but I don't have the settings button, to get to the advanced settings screen, like yours. I have a list of apps with elipses to the right of the app names. I clicked a random app. Looked like only apps that run in the background has the Advanced options feature. But it got me to Background apps permissions. The default and recommended setting is Power optimize. I clicked on the drop-down and saw two more options - Always and Never.

Email clients: Programs like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird that sync and check for new emails in the background. Cloud storage and synchronization services: Apps like Dropbox or Google Drive that sync files in the background to keep them up to date. Update services: Background processes responsible for checking for updates to your operating system or installed software. System monitoring utilities: Some software may run in the background to track system performance or log events.

No, Microsoft doesn't expect that - some of your Background app are very crucial to your PC - but it is up to you to disable those who are not crucial - neither to Windows or yourself - such as - screen recorders, chat apps, all kinds of 3rd party apps that act more likely like a spam.

Maybe it should be up to me to put the things on that i desire and not turn off the things that i dont, especially if they are not essential to the stability of anything. Moving the UI in settings all retarded to make things more confusing and not easily accessible is not an update. It's the same thing just displayed differently.... not good differently. Overall I enjoy Windows since 10. a lot of annoying customizing goes into it. i shouldnt turn off things that just shouldnt exist unless i turned them on.
