How to Disable Related Videos on Youtube Embed 2020

When people get to the end of your embedded videos on your website, do they see inappropriate videos? Or do they see your other videos recommended to them? www.brightonwestvideo.com/blo... In this video I will show you how to remove related videos from embedded youtube videos.
How To Embed KZbin Video on WordPress (or other CMS) and Disable Suggested Videos After Your Video Ends
For this to work, your video should be embedded on your site - not added as a link.
1. Find the KZbin video you want to embed
2. Click Share
3. Click Embed
4. Copy the embed code
5. Paste this html code into your text editor or a code block if you're using a page builder like me.
6. Modify the code. Find the end of the embed link (kzbin.infoxxxxxxx) and add ?rel=0
e.g. kzbin.infoxxxxxxx...
That's it! It's pretty easy to stop related videos from showing up on embedded videos. If you're using a different CMS, share with us your process in the comments!

KZbin does not allow you to disable related videos in embeds since 2018. While adding the rel=0 query parameter is a decent solution many would go for, and although this video explained that quite well, the title of this video is misleading, which may be why it has so many dislikes.

I title my videos based on what people are trying to do - the solution they are looking for. If it cannot be done, I'm telling them the next best option. Not many people are searching for, "How to turn off videos from unrelated channels that play after my videos embedded in my website." I totally get the down votes - but not much I can do about that.

I use the same Divi theme. But tend to use the video module rather than the code one. This makes it easier to style. But I can't see how I'd add the code you specify. Is there any way of adding it through the video module?

Thanks for this video! Your explanation was very clear, yet unfortunately your method didn't work for me. I'm working with a Wix website, and I only have the one video in my KZbin account so far. Could that be the reason why the recommendation engine is still serving up outside videos? That is, does it default to outside videos if it can't locate any of my own videos?

That is a great theory! KZbin always wants to promote more viewing. So if you don’t have another option, maybe it finds something else. Let me know what happens when you upload more videos.

Glad it helped! One thing to note: the suggested videos are custom to each viewer. So what you see is not the same as what any other person sees. But it's best to just turn them off :-)

Thanks for that! Another question - is there a way to disable ads on the video? These are misc., unrelated ads that are stretched across the content of the embedded video once I've put it on my website. When watching the video on KZbin they don't show up. But when I embed the video into my website, it covers a portion of the video. Also, I have no control over what kind of ads appear. Quite annoying... Any help with this would be appreciated, thanks!

Hmmm... This can be a problem when a website is expecting a regular KZbin URL. I usually recommend using the HTML code option, but I'm guessing you don't have that option. For a course, I'd recommend using Vimeo over KZbin. In Vimeo, you can set many of the options on Vimeo - not as text added to the URL. Here's my comparison: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYCXnnSvr5Jorbs.

Nearly everytime I watch a KZbin video suggested videos and the person's KZbin channel icon will pop up in the last 30-45 seconds; making it impossible for be to finish watching it. Is there a way around this?

It's probably the last 20 seconds of the video - that's an end screen and it's set up by the video creator. No way around that as a viewer.

Your right, there are quite a few ways of doing this. However even at the end of this video, it's showing unrelated videos. Does this only work for videos that are embedded on one's website. Or how would it work just loading a video on YT only... I will look at the Vimeo method. thanks

This is designed for embedded videos. It doesn't work on KZbin. However, there's a work around. You can reformat the URL into this format. It plays full screen, but without the unrelated videos. kzbin.info *Ucdm5q3DsTI* ?rel=0 Put the code for your video in place of the bold letters and numbers.

Hi there. Your video was very educational and you're such a great presenter! I have a questions though. Is there a way to control how many related videos KZbin shares at the end of your own video? I noticed in your example it had four related videos. I'm kinda guessing it's only because the video window was small. On default view it shows twelve. I really don't want twelve because there's still some unrelated videos that are not mine popping up. Do I need to make more videos in order to fill those spots with my videos?
