I bought the little disassembly tool for $5. It popped my g20 10 rd mags right open very easily .The plates went back on with thumb pressure. These are brand new mags.

It appears that all methods of removing the baseplate even with this tool cause some minor damage to the baseplate where the hole is.

Thanks for your input, much appreciated! Interesting observation. As always, results may vary. Those 10 round magazines are a bear for sure. The standard magazines don’t really put up a fight. Stay safe! 🤛

Please clarify. Does this tool damage the baseplate on 10 round magazines? Yes or no?

@@efreutel Mine were not damaged. There may be some minor scuffing, but most definitely not damage. I highly recommend this tool specifically for the 10 round factory Glock magazines.

Does this work for Magpul magazines as well?

This is designed for Glock magazines. I don’t think they work for magpul mags.
