I swear by my icepicks for tool kits, I've made multiple versions in different sizes, it's basically a very thick and long Awl so that it can be used for prying, scraping, punching holes, scribing, positioning etc Even for making additional holes in people if needed ;)
@EYALAVRAHAMI

@@EYALAVRAHAMI tried it but the point is better for marking hole locations and making small precise holes in soft materials, also I can heat it up and stuff without really worrying about ruining the heat treatment And I already have the Tool check plus with me therefore I don't really need a screwdriver

@@---Michael--- If You use the small diameter one, let it be many new orifices, or maybe just one at a very strategic place, where no man want more than one hole.😊

That’s a great kit, I have some Knipex already and just got the Wera Tool-Check Plus today and made a small but very significant mod to it already. I put a hole under the head of the ratchet so I can store it with the 1/4 inch adapter ready to go. To use a socket I don’t even need to open the main compartment. This is how I went about it. With the ratchet in place I poked a hot straight pick tool down the middle of the ratchet hole. First just left a mark then checked for concentricity and adjusted before making a hole, then I proceeded to make the hole bigger with successively bigger drill bits but by heating the blunt end. I let it cool and removed some melted bits between each drill bit, ending in a 9mm hole that came out pretty neat. The adapter lines up fair perfectly with the bit hole beneath it and I place the smallest Allen head bits in front of it. The main compartment closes properly and can be accessed without removing the ratchet. It basically looks factory, no one without the kit would even tell.

Awesome kit. I am inspired to assemble my own. I will add a size 14 socket (Japanese cars and bikes) to the wera set and stainless locking wire (normally used to secure aircraft nuts etc) instead of trapping wire. Also will add an high output lighter and a small (gel type) glue tube. Those knipex wrenches are also mandatory I guess. I have the larger one already and love it.

Great idea for a small edc kit. I repair sterilizers in hospitals and it’s such a pain to get in and out especially with all my tools. GREAT KIT! This little tool kit would have saved me HOURS of frustration and hundreds of dollars when my battery lost connection while riding. Total power loss at 60 MPH in the middle of nowhere. Stood waiting for a tow truck for hours and the cost to get everything, including me, back home, would have easily paid for a few of these kits. Thanks for the idea as I've been looking for something exactly like this for my next long ride.

Great idea & I decided to start a similar kit. Ordered with the link below for the Maxpedition and the 2 Knipex pliers. Arrived today. Unfortunately the MINI Maxpedition linked is way too small. The larger Knipex barely fits. Returning and ordered the E.D.C. version that looks closer to what is shown in the video - hopefully. I'll keep you posted!

Nice wee kit. You raise a good point with the wire; a selection of commonly used fixings (a few screws, nuts and bolts, wire and even wall plugs), in a plastic bag or container, are so much more useful than the ubiquitous gaffer tape and cable ties, which of course I also carry in my EDC toolkit.

This little tool kit looks perfect for putting in a glove box in a car, keeping handy on a boat, or keeping handy in a small RV trailer. My trailer is only 20 ft long but is a bunkhouse model that sleeps 5, so it doesn't have a lot of storage space. I have been wanting to find a small but useful tool kit to keep inside the travel trailer for quick easy fixing tools so I don't always have to try it out. The full toolbox. It occurs to me that having another small tool kit like this in the glove box of my truck can also be very handy when I am away from the trailer.

Love the video! I have two recommendations that I carry in my EDC as a mechanic that after watching your whole video sounds like you might be interested in A) Knipex Twin grips, theyve gotten me out of some tough spots where some of my other knipex were just not the right angle i needed. B) VIM HBR1046. On one end of it an adjustable locking head holding a 10mm that comes with a 3/8 head. On the other end is a 1/4 inch bit same adjustable locking head. Both bits are removable, both ends have the thumb stud on the back you like, and overall a very slim profile. However, it is 10 inches long so if it wont fit in your bag completely understandable. But a lot of options in a compact design.

Need some loctite in there. Small container of it. Considering this is just a small repair kit, and nothing heavy duty is being fixed with this. You just need the low strength stuff. Not medium or higher. Also put some on your glasses screws :) Might also want to consider a knife. Svord makes a lightweight peasant knife at 2.5 inches. I find it very handy. Nice steel, easy to sharpen. It's very cheap. I ended up buying a half dozen of them and just leaving them in drawers and garage and vehicles.

The other cool thing with the pass through type mini ratchets is you can flip the bit and use them to access very tight spaces. Just a couple other additions I'd recommend are some small nippers, small flat nose locking pliers (esp for closing leaking fuel line while repairing), and a few zip ties of all sizes, a swatch of parafilm (to stick things to the end of tools that aren't magnetic), and a small wrap of both electrical and duct tape (about 1ft each) .

Nice kit. Kershaw Blur is a solid carry, I settled on the S30V steel blade. The spine is sharp enough to throw sparks off a ferro rod. Holds an edge well.

you should look at the milwaukee pen light, i have one and love it, it is longer then the 2 lights you have but the end is rubber to allow you to hold it in your teeth without it chipping your teeth.

I have that one! With the true colour light or whatever they call it. I have that in my next size up too kit 👍

@@Simplelittlelife if want to add a bite end to you little lights streamlight olight or maglight you can get some heat shrink tubing and cut to fit and shrink it to the light I use it to hold my streamlight stylus pro clips on but I also moved the clip to make the light to bezel end or cree LED . So it will still work as head lamp to my ball cap. One tool I'd add to you kit would be a malco 1/4-5/16 flip socket bit and it makes a good magnet pick up tool to add to the Paracord

Ah, I have almost the same set. There is no way around Wera and Knipex when it comes to a Mini EDC. Here in Germany they are standard and market leader anyway. Best regards and sorry for my bad english.

Nice. FYI I'm pretty sure the knipex plier set are 00 20 72 V04 not V01 as per your link. Both are 125mm long.

Thank you very much. I have found your kit one of the best for me and inspiriting. Which Maxpedition pouch are you using or which dimensions? How long are your Knipex pliers?

I really would add a roll of insulation tape to your kit, invaluble for lots of things and takes up little room.

You should definitely to that to your kit. For my kit; it would be STUPID.

Nice kit. Your EDC could use the addition of POM OC spray for the aggressive four or two legged animals.
