I scored on a couple engines, one is a old Kyosho, the second is a OS max CV Power as well various parts and I believe a vintage Kyosho fairly intact. possibly needs some pointers since I used to only a Tmaxx, wasn't sure what exactly I have for a buggy since there was no body and the seller didn't know what they had and just wanted to get rid of it. I also subbed as I do like and appreciate your channel thanks.

hello i am cleaning my engine by removing the glow plug , the air filter and dropping some niro fuel on the engine and then pulling the pullstart do you think its a good method.

How often will this be needed to do? what else needs cleaning on a nitro?

+Jake.Marttila It definitely needs to be done anytime you suspect any dirt has gotten I to the engine. If the air filter was to pop off while running. I like to do it at least every 3 gallons. I like working on them a lot though. It's a good idea to do it to catch any wear prematurely before a catastrophic failure happens.

+Jake.Marttila Also, I usually strip the entire truck down from time to time to clean it thoroughly. It's not bad at all to strip this RC down to the bare chassis. Also need to drain differential silicone and replace with fresh silicone every few gallons and also check the differential spider gears when you have it out. I will try to do a video on how I do differential maintenance sometime soon.

Hi Joe, I have been running my Kyosho Inferno Neo ST race spec (KE25 engine) on some very dusty grounds. I have a feeling that some soil might have passed through the air filter (factory filter). Is there any way that I can clean (flush) the engine without disassembling the whole block? Thank you

+Ryan Rao Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I overlooked this comment by accident! You can take the cooling head off and the pull starter and backplate off and spray degreaser or brake cleaner down through the sleeve really good and use compressed air to blow it out well. But if you do that then you don't lack much more and you could have the entire engine stripped down. I would strongly urge you to disassemble the engine and clean it thoroughly because it only takes a grain of sand or dirt to decrease the life of an engine. Just be sure to pay attention on which direction the piston and conrod go back in. They do need to be put back in the same direction as they come out. Let me know if you need any more help

Hey man, I'm looking for a universal pull start assembly, as it's so hard to find the kyosho pull starter online, everyone is sold out on them, any recommendations??

Can I use 3 in 1 oil if I don't have after run oil?

Cool video 👍🏼! I enjoyed it. Looking forward on your next One Joe. Keep up the good work. You know that The oil in your fuel will help lube the bearings as well right. Be carful with the grease so you don't mess up clutches and bell but I know you've bin around the block a bit so I know your aware of that. The best improvement to that RTR motor would be to get a sealed back plate so that there's nothing rubbing on you crankshaft like your pull start system. Use your bump start instead. You'll see gains of a couple thousand RPMs and less wear and tare.
@averagejoenitro2730
@averagejoenitro2730 8 жыл бұрын
You know, that pullstart system actually pulls the metal shaft that engages the crank completely away from it so there's no friction or moving parts at all. I am going to get a bump box for it after this pull start wears out but I haven't had any issues with it yet lol. Thanks for watching Botajell!

+Average Joe Nitro no problem NITRO BRO! I will always watch your Vidds and will always support you! The part that pushes your crank to start your motor is always turning with your crankshaft right? I'm aware of the front part of the pull start set up and that's pretty cool but the part that rotates your crank is always rotating with the motor correct??
@averagejoenitro2730

+BOTAJELL on all pull starts until this one. This is a new thing that kyosho has came out with that disengaged the part that spins the crank completely from the crank. So no it has no extra drag. It runs Like a engine does that just had a backplate and uses a bump start.

+BOTAJELL now of course it isn't sealed as well as an engine with a backplate

I took my KE25 out of my nitro truck. The pull starter spins freely when mounted to the engine. However, when I pull it off with the backplate and the drive shat it does spin properly. Something is slipping. Any suggestions Thanks

Hello, I have a ke 25 engine and i am wondering about something. When i start my car i have to rev it way up, and i mean waaaay up. On the idle screw its about one and a half rotation, forget about hourly incriments xD This ofcourse means that when my car starts it starts revving up fast, kind of alot more than ive seen in other videos. But after it starts i can turn the idle screw back and stop the wheels from spinning without stalling. My friends think that my clutch is engaging early, and that might be the case for all i know. But i have no idea how to check if that's the case. Any tip on what to do here? Current temps im driving in are pretty cold since i live in norway. So i've had to mess around alittle with the tuning. Can my high speed or low speed tune be what causes my wheels to spin if it's not the clutch? Thanks in advance to anyone with advice!

My truggy is down and needs clutch shoes. I just ordered the Werks 4 Shoe racing clutch and am waiting on it to arrive. Will definitely do a video on that when it gets here and also a video on how it performs with the new clutch system. Been working 7 days a week lately and this old man is worn out lol!

I wouldn't grease that front bearing because it will sling grease on to your clutch and make it slip. Other then that good video dude. How many gallons you have on this engine/truck now? Still liking it?
@averagejoenitro2730
@averagejoenitro2730 8 жыл бұрын
I have over two gallons on it right now. Still liking it! Those sealed bearings are actually greased from the factory. That's one reason why they have the seal on them. To keep grease in and to keep dirt out. I don't grease the clutch bell bearings because they do and will sling grease. I haven't ever had a problem with greasing the front case bearing yet. That's man! How are you liking yours?

I suppose if one were to go overboard with grease I could see where it could be an issue. I ran it yesterday and it ran like a top! :)

I opened up the crank intake a bit to match the throat of the case intake and smoothed out the ramp a bit. I need to get some of the silicone to ramp it better soon because it could use it. I love playing around with engines and seeing how much more performance I can get out of them! Lol
