Thanks for the how to video. How can you tell when you need to replace the screen or the LED cable? Half of my screen was pink. Now it's black and I can't see anything in the lower half of my screen.

fantastic video. clear, concise, informative. where is the RAM?. also, if you wanted to replace the hardrive, seeing that it is integrated, would you need to replace the whole motherboard? thanks. thumbs up btw

It is all integrated unfortunately, so you would need to replace the board. Thank you for the compliment, glad to help :)

Is the ram and cpu soldered to the motherboard?

In this model, yes, but I believe all notebooks these days have cpu and ram soldered, at least one module

Mine is having trouble charging. The problem seems to be where the cord plugs into it. It seems loose inside, and I have to push on it this way or that way to get it to make a connection. If I wind up having to open it up, is there a way I can tighten things up in there?

I split soda on my Chromebook and mistakingly left it plugged in, something I wasn't aware was bad. In the morning it was warm to the touch and reconnecting the power cord has no power indication lights on and makes a TV buzzing sound like a guitar amp on idle. Is it certain death, or should I try taking the back off and pulling the battery out etc. ? I watched another video on spills saying to immediately unplug it and take the battery out, but for the Chromebook that involves this process. I have access to rice and or Epsom salt, but I'm wondering if I should even try at this point with the hot to touch and buzzing sound now. I don't care about data, a hard reset would be fine, but I'm wondering if I should even bother trying and if it sounds like its cooked beyond repair, next time immediately unplug it, take out the battery etc? Thanks for your time.

That symptom sounds like the spill got to the motherboard unfortunately. If something is shorted and it's getting warm, I wouldn't plug it in anymore either. You can pop it open to inspect, but I'm betting there is some spill damage to the motherboard.

@@Sellbrokedotcom ya thanks. Luckily we have the stimulus coming and for 600 its looking like I can get another one. I had a cb3-111 model, and I liked that and would like something similar. Not a thin tablet type. Do you have a recommendation for a newer model, maybe a couple years old and tested?

This summary is a lie. "Step by step instructions on how to take apart the computer. This will help you with any repair requiring opening the case and replacing parts: -upgrading hard drive and memory" .. At no point do you show how to replace or remove hard-drive or memory. Thumbs down!
