You weren't having bad luck. You were working on crappy knives. Back at the beginning of my knife journey, I had the good fortune to learn early that CRKT is one short step above Winchester or that Usa dude.

So much precision goes into the grinding of even lesser blades and then the assemblies get slapped together with tiny soft screws locked in place with big blue boogers.

I’ve had this since it came out and when it breaks in its smooth as butter. Drop shutty. It’s colors are ugly but it’s a great slicer. It could be a little longer though. Thanks Nick for reviewing it. It needs a little more attention!

Thanks Nick. I’m thinking about getting one of these. WHY HAVE’NT YOU DONE A REVIEW ON ONE OF THESE?! Just kidding. I saw it. I know my decision to get one may evolve into disappointment. But I’m a glutton for disappointment sometimes.

Can you do one for the CRKT Overland Compact? that's my EDC knife, small but does the job. i would like a teardown tutorial for it, and I would like to know how to maintain it so it can last as long as possiblr

Hi Nick, is it possible to fully remove the orange accents to spray paint them? Not that big of a fan of their color but don't know if it's doable. Thanks!

Hey, Nick. I was wondering if you've given any thoughts to picking up a Spyderco Delica, and maybe giving it a review. Didn't see it in this video, so I'm wondering if you've heard of it, and what your thoughts would be on this somewhat relatively unknown knife.

Haven't done "X", did you mean Ecstasy ? I got it but I'm old as hell, some of the younger types may think Nick is going in a different direction, please advise.

You ever sharpen the blade while it's disassembled?

The LCK has PB washers for half the price of this knife that has Teflon washers. Why?

Yeah, I've had trouble disassembling CRKTs before. With some it works flawlessly, with some I feel like the battle of Verdun was propably more fun. I genuinely have no idea why they overdo this threadlocker obsession so much... And why their screws seem to made out of either butter or fucking diamond.

Aside from the 'new' auto's that CRKT released recently, I, me, Personally, feel like their recent designs-for the last few years now-have been "blah", lackluster, sub-par, or just plain "meh... Again, just my opinion. Great knives, I have dozens of 'em. Affordable knives, which is WHY I have a dozen or so of 'em. However, they are all older designs, like the "Needs work" with MICARTA scales, not the cheap plastic of mass production (which I feel was why the knife did so poor sales-wise. If it had Micarta from the start, it would've been a different story I feel), and a Lee Williams flipper design, with disappearing flipper tab, the '1715' (?), of course, being Military, a few M-16 models, a few Chive models (Rainbow one being my favorite of the model), and many more. I dont know WHY they have let their designs slip in recent years, but someone at CRKT needs to be reassigned/fired, and someone with decent decision-making skills brought in. Again, my two cents. Nothing more. Ya'll have a great weekend.
