Hey do you time the power divider to the gear on the pinion? I have a used good shape diff from a parts truck im putting into another truck. I cant seem to find the old timing marks on the good used diff. I have the old timiming marks on the power divider for that same diff. The meritor service manual says to time it but i can't find the timing marks on the pinion gear that meshes with the power divider. any suggestions? Thank you, and thanks for your videos they help.

Hi Mr. I have a 2007 Freigthliner, Columbia, the 2nd axle is not engaging....and I need a Technician how's knows..and have experience..on this power divider....most off the Mecanics refuse to open it. Do you have Mecanic shop....To work on it.!? Please let me know..I ho around the States OTR...

Yes i have a shop, i only rebuild diffs and trans. You need to take it to a mechanic to pull out the diff and bring it to my shop.

tighten bottom adjuster screw (clockwise) while loosening the top adjuster screw (counter clockwise) will make backlash smaller.. tighten top adjuster screw (clockwise) while loosening the bottom adjuster screw (counter clockwise) will make backlash bigger. ( backlash for new crown and pinion should be 0.010 to 0.012 play) (backlash for used crown and pinion) should be 0.012 to 0.015) i hope this is a little more easier to understand 😁

What no tread lock dude

There are tread locks on the bolts, for crowns & diff case just wasn’t shown on the video cuz the transition on each clip was speed up or got cut off. Yah but i put the red tread loctite for all bolts and nuts especially the inner bolts of the differentials or transmissions. Thank you for watching and your comment. 👍🏼
