Hey my rear bearing cover gasket is leaking can i just pop it off and replace the gasket while the transmission is still on the truck? Any specific spec to torque the nuts after i install the gasket?

Seems like a lot of corners are being cut. I just don't understand why so much silicone? Input seals and orings do not need silicone, just making a huge mess for the next guy to clean up. Also the adjusting ring for the power divider input shaft should have an o-ring and again not need silicone, I believe Loctite 565 which is basically anaerobic sealant is the recommended sealant Per Meritor for adjusting ring threads.

You know, you could've just put the bushing. Not the whole ride on the lower rod. It has a bushing you press it out and put a new bushing, save a ton of money.

Deeper loctite on the whole shaft, it's only on the threaded area when he goes or turning left and right, he's gonna have a lot of problems.
