Super helpful video! I ordered replacement fans from China and they should arrive this week and I will be using your video to help replace the CPU cooling fan. Grateful it's the easier fan to replace! No heat sink removal! Thanks again!

Very helpful man, thanks a lot! Quick question, if I wanna do a repaste, do you I need to remove anything else other than the 10 screws holding the heatsinks on? Saw a couple of videos the showed that I had to remove the whole thing up, including the two fans! :/

Did it work could you replace the fan without removing the mobo?
@TheStrossicro Жыл бұрын
@@clinten3131 I tried cutting the tape, but it was a very strong tape which I could not cut as easily as I thought. In the end I wiggled the old gpu fan enough for it to detach from the tape as I deemed cutting it was too dangerous since I needed to apply allot of force to perforate and maintain a cut. Perhaps I simply had a bad edge...

Most likely yes, your main issue is finding what's compatible. If you find one you're interested in just make sure to pay close attention to the shape and the ports and make sure they are identical. The part numbers should also be close. Might be very hard to find though. Fans are very model specific so I doubt you have an upgrade option.

The old fan was working but just noisy. Hope I didn't break anything. I made sure everything was connected but no dice. Anyone know what I possibly did wrong?
@Sellbrokedotcom4 жыл бұрын
Did you take measures to prevent static discharge? It is possible that part of the circuit was damaged when you removed the old one. You might have damaged the tiny solder connections that hold the fan connector port in place when removing, sometimes those connectors stick hard.
