How to Disassemble & Maintain a Button Lock: Vosteed Raccoon. I have received several emails asking me questions about talking apart and putting together a button lock so I decided it would be better to just do a video showing how to do it. Its much easier to take apart and reassemble button locks from the clip side. Give it a go!

I didn’t like the guillotine drop on my Begleiter2 so I tightened up the pivot to my liking after I stretched the spring to increase the detent.

Can anyone tell me why the button lock spring on my knife has become super stiff after reassembly? It is so much so that the detent won't let the blade release unless I press the button.

Try taking it apart flipping the spring around and try to keep the spring in the center of the button, you can put a small dab of grease in the inside of the button to keep the spring in place. Sometimes the spring can get sideways causing the plunger to get wedged towards the blade causing more pressure 👍🍻🍻
