Even before watching this video, I've started to notice that the wolves who are injured are more likely to flee. But thanks to you, at least I know to target the injured and low health wolves instead of wasting health and putting my pups in danger by instantly targeting the pack leaders. Thank you!

In my attempt to weaken the cottonwood creek pack in hellroaring, I unknowingly killed the only pack leader and the entire pack crumbled immediately lol

LMAO I've almost managed that, but they got away only because I ran out of stam and needed to get food

Thank you, I really needed this! I thought taking over all of the hexes in a pack's territory would do this, only for a new hex of theirs to reappear on the other side of the map after sleeping. But I'm pretty sure I could take those guys out now!

Thanks! I’ve been having a lot of issues with a neighbouring rival pack, this’ll do wonders!

Could you make a video on scaring away other predators, mainly from carcasses? Lost my wolf to a cougar the other day lol

I've started using a strategy to take out all wolves BUT the two leaders. It started off as me being very pissed off because a rival pack kept invading the exact same hex every time I was just far enough that it was annoying to run halfway across the map to them and I would already have very little stamina because of low wakefulness. So I took out a pack member. Then another. The next time they invaded, I took out another, and another, and a third. In total, 9 pack members lost their lives because they kept invading the same hex. Then only the lead pair remained, both a bite away from passing away themselves. Literally their health bars had the tiiiiiniest sliver left. They did not bother me again until they had new pups, which I also took out. Then I did a game where I took over a rival pack because I kept getting really bad luck with all my pups dying if I wasn't constantly hunting but couldn't smell any elk, moose, or anything worth chasing since one sleep would basically kill off one of my pups as they were starving and I couldn't find elk herds on my MASSIVE territory. The one I found was being protected by a rival pack in their own territory and I barely escaped with like 12% of health left when I tried to sneakily drive the elk herd into my territory and they didn't take too kindly to that. So I took over a pack so I would instantly have more help from subordinates for den attacks, hunting, rival packs.... Now I do my best to take down several pack members during every conflict so I can keep all the rival packs at only the leading pair while mine grows. If they have the balls to invade, it's two wolves against like 7-9. Now take this with a very salty grain of salt because I don't know if it's actually true, but I got the idea from somewhere that if you disband a pack, the next one would be more aggressive (at least in defending its territory) so that's why I'm hesitant to disband any packs. Again, no clue if this is actually true but I think I remember reading it in passing on some random WQ Reddit post about tips or something?

This is the way to do it. Removing the pack completely just results in another spawning and sometimes their home hex spawns in a really annoying spot on the map - or they go willy nilly and claim areas that dont even make sense. Ive just been keeping the other packs weak so its easier to fend them off.

@@Binnie_303 Makes wolf den raids far easier to deal with, too. I usually target one wolf and let my pack deal with the other one. So far I've been left alone by the other packs, it's just one that keeps coming back. The other two, since they haven't shown their faces anywhere near mine, get to keep their pups. But the second they come into my land, they're getting hunted down!

*Me disbanding packs by going into rival turf and hunting down every member but 1 but the leaders and kill them last so I leave lasting trauma on the surviving member*
