2 min of my whole life just flashed in front me trying this. The winch technique is safer with a controlled descent. Thanks. So many smart people out there like yourself 👍

Haha! I agree! The winch technique is definitely preferred. Thanks for watching!

Brilliant! Your method of unloading has convinced me to go ahead and buy a soft-shell CVT tent! Thanks for your video and way to go NatenessTV!

You're a brave man bro! I'm trying to remove the same tent from a brand new Defender.

Yea a $7,000 Chevy Tahoe is a lot more forgiving than a new Defender! Haha! Hope it went well for you!

Thanks. Ive been thinking of something similar but off the side of the car - then it protects the car side as it comes down (my tail gate glazing is angled and the roof bars too far forward to take off the back)

Awesome man! Thanks! I have Overzone tent probably around 80-100 kilos - will this work also for this weight? 😅
@natenesstv6685Ай бұрын
That’s a heavy tent I think that’s around 200+ lbs, might consider reinforcing or doubling up on the boards. If I was gonna try it I would get a couple more 2x4s and screw them on edge to the back of the runners, otherwise you might get a lot of board flex when the tent is in the center when sliding. Does that make sense? Where you from?

👍🏻. I would interested to know how you mount the tent on your vehicle. We have been considering a RTT and one the unknowns is mounting and removing it
@natenesstv66852 жыл бұрын
Ah good question! I need to make a video showing that. Stay tuned...

I always try my best to do that as we all know KZbin is loaded with content and some times I miss a video if so that’s my bad. If there was a video posted that I could have given credit to just let me know so I can do that. Thanks for your concern comment and being so kind as to let me know.
