I love bee balm. MIne is sparse. It comes up here and there and I want more! I have had it for years. I will try to save some seeds and winter sow in milk jugs. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Many times, bee balm dies from the center and crawls outwards and that's what blooms the next year. I suggest not only collecting the seeds and winter sowing them, but also try dividing a few plants just to do it. I'd love to know how either method works for you next year. Also, bee balm thrives in wet soil, so be sure to be giving your plant plenty of water this year and in future years. 💞😊

Hi there! The red bee balm is definitely the classic color. A few years ago, I bought a packet of mixed Bee Balm seeds and winter sowed those. Those plants bloomed this year and it was just so beautiful seeing all the different colors. There was white, light purple, light pink as well as magenta. Definitely look online for mixed Bee Balm / Monarda seeds. A few different seed companies sell them. Good luck, friend! 😊🌹

Hi there. Thank you! Bee Balm loves wet soil, so make sure you are giving your plants plenty of moisture. Without enough water, they won't thrive as well. In terms of them falling over, just make sure you have them planted in full sun. If they are in part sun / shade, they tend to be more leggy and are apt to fall over. I hope that helps. 😊🌸

How wonderful! You are absolutely correct in that you can also get more free Bee Balm plants by taking the cuttings and putting them in soil. Thank you for sharing, my friend! 😊💞
