How To DIY A Concrete Floor - You Have To Learn Our Pouring Techniques

If you're going to pour a concrete floor for a house of any size, you have to have a method of pouring and the techniques and skills to poor, screed, and bull float the concrete.
This video shows you how we pour a 2200 square foot concrete floor for a basement in a new house. The concrete pouring techniques we use are the same for any size house floor pour.
We establish the floor height, set our grades on the walls using a laser level, snap chalk lines, pour out the concrete, rake it around, screed it to floor height, and bull float it smooth.
Now I know there's some level of experience and skills involved, but that's where I come in. I show you how to do this in my Training Academy, The Concrete Underground.

Your job is a huge responsibility, there is many factors like weather, temperature, delivery, locations, size and scope, and workers. It's seems you do a good job with these obstacles.

Well I plan on doing my own flat work. First will be a 10 x 10 slab for a shed but then 20 by 20 Patio with a side walk with my neighbor. Going to rent a gas power screed to be able to make it a little easier I think.

Hey Mike I Have a question for you I have an out door covered patio with 3 sides open that I poured thick and insulated with spray foam and I power troweled it pretty smooth but not quite blacked out but very sweep able I was wondering if Radon Deep penetrating Seal is still what you would recommend I park my car on it and it’s a about 4 months old with no sealers I live in central Illinois just wondering what the best sealer would be and if a sealer would still soak in good to the concrete being power Troweled smooth thanks love your videos

This is a huge basement. The radiant floor heat tubes were under the vapor barrier ? A little different..

I wouldn't call this a DIY when all the work is already done and all you do is the pouring. Like if you are doing all the rest with contractors why would you want to do the pour yourself?
