Hope that helps everyone who wants to use outdated or unused Betaflight hardware for Gyroflow. Dedicated logging hardware is in development to cover more advanced setups and improve the workflow/reliability even more.

Nice! One thing I would like to have on a logger is an integrated liion charger via the main usbc port and a stepup converter from 1s to 5v, so that if someone wants to make a logger with an integrated battery there is no need for additional hardware! :)

I'm a bit confused, does the m5-stack just tell the FC when to start logging gyro data? And the crsf part means you can remotely tell it to start logging?

You could also use the runcam thumb as a logger, it's only 10g or 4.5g naked

Yes, when it's firmware is "final", that should be possible - even as naked cam integrated into a mount for a bidder cam...hope they make a "optimized for logging" firmware or preset/profile.

Sorry for the late response, i'm currently working on that topic and do tests with vibration dampening for the FC/logger...the typical m3 rubber standoffs that get used for stack mounting seem to work fine for MPU6000 series IMUs. some of the ICM gyros tend to like even softer mounting...there are 3x8mm Rubber standoffs available in different shore hardness .

@@nicecrash du bist der beste vielen Dank. Kenne wenige nette Menschen wie dich. Und zu deinem Video was du mir geschickt hast habe ich leider nicht gut stabiliesieren können. Gopro 7 black ist irgendwie bisschen komisch ☹ vielleicht kann man ja über die Blackbox daten besser stabilisieren muss man mal schauen.

@@nightrider8496 Ich bin froh, das wir so eine eifrige DIY/FPV/Video Community im Rücken haben die ALLES mögliche für uns testen und feedback geben 😉. Hero7 und Session5 werden immer Glückssache bleiben - mein Ziel ist zumindest einen guten, kleinen Logger zu haben den man an eine Naked Hero7 packen kann - bisher nutze ich eine Flowbox - die ist aber vorerst nicht zu kaufen und wird gerade auf 512BM blackbox Speicher und besser verfügbare Komponenten um gebaut. Ein guter FC ist aber z.b. Mateksys F405 mini mit 32mb Flash in 20x20 . Der Flowshutter wird demnächst auf dem Markt auftauchen - quasi ein AIO remote Shutter device das vorerst Sony multiport Cams und einen FC-logger synchron aufnehmen lässt, also eher etwas für große Cams... Der Wit-motion 901SD Logger mit SDcard wird evtl: noch interessant. Ich bin im Gespräch mit denen und es scheint als hätten die Lust ihre Firmware für Gyroflow zu optimieren - bisher leifern diese Logger leider nur 200Hz sampling ..sind aber recht günstig und verbreitet/verfügbar 🤞. Einige Leute arbeiten auch an logging Firmware für Betaflight FCs - vielleicht auch interessant wenn das gut klappt - dann würden wir mit 16mb flash speicher viel weiter kommen...bleibt interessant !

Sorry, I don't know much about writing code. But would it be possible to include LANC out on the microcontroller, so when the button is pressed, it would start logging, and the camera at the same time?

Yes, it's possible to use LANC power and the Signal to trigger the logger. I decided to not include this functionality in this project to keep it simple and easy...also it's designed to minimize delay/lag for the Sorry for the late answer. Keep an eye open for the flowshutter, that will solve a lot of issues for many users...will take some time but it's on the way...you can join the gyroflow discord to stay up to date and i will make a video when it's about to get available.... if you are interested , and discord invite link can be found on gyroflow.xyz

I measured the TX output with a multimeter, but there is no change even if I press the button at about 3.25V. Can't I check whether the signal goes out or not with a multimeter?

Not really, it's not a changing value. I have a full tutorial coming for ESPlog this week using M5-STAMP-C3U and bmi160 .

I follow it up and i just have one problem, when input the log into the Blackbox Explorer, the GYRO info on the 3 axis is flat. I only can see the Accelerometers. Also the log is on .BFL not on .BBL, idk if has something to do with it...

Okey i think i got it, i wasnt letting the gyro to calibrate by moving the FC while pluging it (i have the log mode to ALWAYS)

Hi✌️, you can basically use any ESP32 or ESP32-C3 that comes with 4MB flash memory onboard. I like the AI tinker ESP32-C3-12F / ESP32-C3-FN4 module on 3.3V or the ESP32-C3-01M ...the M5 version already has a 5V regulator and a button integrated. docs.ai-thinker.com/en/esp32c3

Always a pleasure ☺️ ✌️. The chance is also very good we see the entire package available for everyone and affordable when we finished testing the last hardware upgrades. The very stable timing on the ESPs is just amazing for our application .
