This project is one of the best fabrications I have ever seen. I love your eye for detail and precise welding. 👍

Embryology has fascinated me since i was about three years old. There was a Sunday School Weekly Reader and they had an article with sketches comparing the development of a chick, an alligator, a horse, a chimpanzee and a human and at least one, maybe two others i can't remember.. (It's been 61 years - Give me a break!) I carried that article with me _for weeks._ It was if it was linked to me by its own umbilical cord! I slept with it under my pillow. My mother would toss it in the garbage, i would pull it out. The cat would stalk it as i dragged it behind me and i would give that cat what-for as loud as i could. I remember laying on the floor, showing it to the cat so it could see why This was _precious_ and Not-To-Be-Touched. I remember it being torn & creased with holes in it and my mother trying to trade me a child's book about a chicken developing in an egg for that ragged sheet. I didn't understand why i couldn't have _both._ They both _existed._ There they both *_were._* Why should i have only _one?_ I should have both: The light one i could carry about, spread out and see it all at once. And the hard one that i'd hsve to leave in the house because that was The Rules. Of course, after the first time i took the paper outside and realized how fragile it was compared to the dew on the grass, i would carefully tuck it in with my stuffed Susu-monkey to keep it company when i went out to play. The paper gradually eroded to a piece about the size of my hand with only about three of the circles left. I remember one was the next-to-the-last of the alligator. Anyway, my mother _finally_ negotiated it away from me Watching this video _feels_ like watching the fætal development of some creature. *_Very_* cool! Thank you!

You didnt show any of the assembly though. I get the concept, but am curious as to how you locked the front half of the vice to the jack screw. Also what was that square hole for on the bottom of the front tube?

The square hole is to access the washer and nut on the back of the jack screw. This is what locks the jack screw to the front plate of the vice. It's basically the same system as most vises you can buy.

Super cool video Bruce, much respect for a guy that can build stuff. I wonder what happened to Jesse james?

Thank you :) I wonder the same about Jesse James. I know he was fed up with all the censorship that is happening on social media platforms. I'm betting he just decided to shut it all down and live without it.

Yea probably, shame I enjoyed his channel. hey do you have a tip video for recaulking a shower?

I enjoyed his channel too. No, I don't have a tip video for re-caulking a shower but I've done it. I would recommend removing all the old caulk as much as possible with a scraper or razor-blade. Especially the loose or moldy stuff. Then clean it as well as you can. Make sure it's dry before reapplying the new caulk. Hope that helps you out a little. :)
