Would you consider using a dry mortar mix rather than sand. The mix could be soaked after laying the bricks. It would set and hold the bricks in place. The sweeping of some of the mix over the surface and into any gaps before wetting, could also help secure the bricks in place and you would not have sand get washed out when the rain comes.

Awesome!! Tomorrow morning I'm going to Lowe's for the final materials grab and then will be working to finish mine by Sunday. I really hope to take semi decent pictures or videos and attempt to upload a video half as good as yours 💪🏼💪🏼

use some flexible plastic edging that you can pin behind the large stones to lock them in

Can you tell us what you used in order on before putting the bricks down?

Start with landscaping fabric, then roadbase/3/4 minus, which gets tamped. Then sand on top of that. Fill in brick gaps with more sand and tamp again

Nice vid. I am doing something similar. How did you clean your bricks please? Mine have quite a lot of lime mortar on them still.

Thank you sir. I knocked all the big pieces off with a hammer. It should crumble off with some force

What brand/type of saw did you use for the cuts? I need something a woman recovering from shoulder surgery can use with ease.

Is there any way I can use some sort of morter in between the bricks to stick them together and fill in the cracks?

Would this be a good path to clean when it snows. Need a path just like this going down a hill to the home. Seniors are starting to have trouble walking when it snows and things get icy

Brick is great in the snow and cold climates it's porus rough surface make it so it has much more traction compared to the cement and tile pavers we commonly see today

Another good idea is to throw sand on commonly utilized paths to add to the traction and at the end of the freeze you can sweep it up and save it for next year

@@trevorsoare6203 thank you. I’m wanting to do a small brick path in my garden and wanting something fairly straight forward on the base before adding sand! I don’t have any machinery and will be all done by hand.

efekt jest super ale to kiepski pomysł. Cegła to glina i pod wpływem warunków atmosferycznych deszcz, śnieg, mróz, to tylko kwestia czasu kiedy zacznie się łuszczyć.

You're right, It didn't. needed something to hold the bricks and sand from sagging down the hill on the right side. Poured a concrete retaining wall and reset the outside edge and it's been good ever since.
