Hi Friends! I have been asked how I cut my curly bangs many times, and I knew I was in need of a trim so I decided I would film the easy process. Please keep in mind that you must consider your shrinkage when cutting bangs, I personally do not get too much shrinkage because my curls are looser at the top of my head. If you get more shrinkage, I would suggest cutting the curls how they fall naturally rather than pulling them to elongate them when you trim ( otherwise the shrinkage will be way more than you expected! )

FINALLY, I've found someone with hair exactly like mine! It's been challenging. I've only started embracing my curls the passed couple of years. I've straightened it most of my life. However, because of medical issues, my hair started falling out. I rocked a baldy for awhile but missed my hair. I had to stop everything: blowing, coloring, etc. I decided to let the curls loose to get that full look I like. The curly-coaster ride hasn't been too bad, except for finding products that enhance my lioness mane. The one thing that's helped is keeping a healthy hair care regime, which has allowed my hair to grow strong. I've since been able to color it again, YIPPIE!!! I only straighten it on occasion, which I don't like as much anymore (Go figure). I LOVE MY CURLS!!! It's just taking forever to grow longer. My curls are so tight. It looks like I only have an inch of hair. I haven't found anything yet to stretch out my passed shoulder length hair. I'm so grateful I found you. I know I'm going to get so much more out of my curlilocks now. Ty. Big hugs!!! I'm go to try this layering method to get more volume.

I used your method to cut my bangs and side hair today and they FINALLY came out looking nice. No more patchy or mullet hair. I was aimlessly cutting random pieces of hair at the top, back, sides, bottom, almost daily, just trying to fix the mess I created months ago. So, I just recently decided to have my hair cut to resemble more of a curly fro and I also wanted bangs. Very similar to your hair. However, I wasn't happy with the bangs because they looked so thin and fell flat. Okay so I'm waaaay late to this video, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE it! I have struggled to find a video that gives a good explanation of hydrating and cutting curly hair and bangs. This helped me so much. My hair looks very similar to your before. My hair doesn't curl as tight, but it is a similar texture. Love the idea of the layered bangs for volume. That's a great video! thanks so much for sharing your tips on how to cut a bang. Your hair type is very close to mine so I appreciate when you share your tips on how to manage hair. I have fried my hair when I dyed it blond last spring. It has been almost a year and although I love love love my blond ends, I am not going to do anything to my hair and try to let it grow this year. Just trim it once or twice maybe but that's it. I would love to have my hair touch my shoulders and still have nice defined curls. So I'm going to work on that.

I've switched to all natural products, started using jbco on the top of my head where its the thinnest. I'm not sure if my hair is thicker but it does feel stronger and softer. I'm still using acv for the eczema flares which don't happen very often since I'm now using all natural products. Thank you for sharing your tips. Always enjoy your videos.

you have no idea how happy I am for having found your channel! you are the first one i find with almost the same hair as me, thin and less curly at the top, yet somehow you make it look so beautiful!
