Hi I am just about to order stuff to try this for the first time doing macrame and I was wondering how wide/thick the wooden dowel is?

💙 hello 👋🏻 the wooden dowel is 12 inches (30cm) in length and I’m unsure of the exact diameter. It’s just a regular crafting wooden dowel that you can find at the dollar store and craft store. But feel free to substitute with a branch or dowel of any thickness
