How to: DIY Soft Locs | Easy & Beginner Friendly | Very Detailed | GOLDYNAPS

Hey yawwwwl! Welcome back to another protective style tutoriallll! Today we're doing soft locs, which were honestly incredibly easy to do. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants to get into doing their own protective styles because it doesn't require a difficult skill set. You just have to get comfortable using a crochet needle, which is honestly a lot easier than learning how to do knotless braids or feed in hair.
Y'all would not believe how many technical difficulties I had with this video lmaoooo like I was two seconds from scrapping it, but I hope y'all enjoy it nonethelessss! Love it! Question for the braids in the back did you loop your natural hair so that it was shorter that the top. Hope I'm explaining that right. It look like about 4 inches of your natural hair after you bent it. Was the back that same or shorter?

How does this style hold up in water? Y'all go swimming with faux locs?

I haven’t personally gone swimming with them, but I’ve washed them a couple of times and they’ve held up when I rinse them in the shower! I would assume they’d do fine at the pool/beach as well

Not a fan of fake locs…probably because I have real locs of 20 years.

They’re a good alternative if you don’t want to commit to getting real locs/want an easy protective style
