If you dont want to make it yourself, you can find this belt in my etsy shop:

Of course also other closures and webbings are possible.

1:23 Sewing the Belt
7:10 Endcard
Featuring 1'' polyester webbing, which has a nice structured look but is more flexible than the usual (ballistic) nylon webbing used in combat belts and military belts, this one is a very simple and minimalistic belt. I specifically was bothered by the thickness of the Arcteryx Converyr Belt's buckle, and wanted a belt that fits perfectly underneath the buckle of my backpack's hip belt. The simplest solution with an actual buckle was a simple G-hook tension lock closure. Through using an anodised aluminium g-hook, I could use a hard-wearing and lightweight material. The only thing I still want to change in this design is the orientation of the hook - but for this I have to buy customised hardware, and this will be possible next year, I hope.
I am preparinng a few other belt designs, inspired by other makers, experimenting with materials like leather and cloth, and with different closure mechanisms.
--------------------------------
INTEL:
General Intel: Soft but strong belt with a Tension Lock closure.
Buckle: Anodised Aluminium G-hook tension lock closure - slim and unobtrusive. Available in Black, Red, Grey and Silver.
Strap secured with velcro.
Webbing: 1" Heavy Duty Polyester Webbing - soft but strong.
Solid Construction: all seams on load carrying points are stitched multiple times. The fabric loop holding the buckle while wearing is stitched with a box-x-stitch, which is very secure.
Weight: 155 g / 5,5 oz (the buckle itself only weighs 30 g / 1 oz)
Width: 2,5 cm / 1"

Music: Dominic from Caffeine Chamber was kind enough to compose a few tracks for me, which I am allowed to use in my videos. Thanks, Dominic, you are great!

Awesome video man! Your previous belt video definitely inspired and pushed me to actually start learning sewing. I've managed to put together a working hand-sewn jacket/raincoat sling that techwear brands use in their products. I've never felt so pumped about something so simple yet so useful that I've made with my own hands

Thank you man! Do you have ppictures of your sling somewhere? Would love to see it! Especially jacket slings are a really great design challenge. Actually, I've had the pleasure to be at an admissions workshop for the Bartenstein academy (a private functional fashion learning academy that was founded this year in munich) where we had a one day workshop with Errolson Hugh and designed jacket slings with the design principles at ACRNM. I really want to do a jacket sling video, and equip all my jackets with slings. I have long sleeves, which poses a design challenge for jacket slings in itself in my opinion (and I am thankful that errolson had the same opinion).

@@SewMuchBlack I'll try to snag some pictures later today or tomorrow when I have a spare minute and I'll post them somewhere. Regarding the jacket slings - holy crap, that's awesome :O. To have such an opportunity is like a miracle come true. I don't think I quite got the challenge of 'long sleeves' when it comes down to designing a jacket sling. My inexperienced amateur take on it was to add two loops near the armpit area on the inside of the jacket and attach the slings to those plus the 'hanger' loop near the neckline (although for the jacket that I am mostly using it I ditched the idea of adding the loops - I don't feel too confident to add them yet without a risk of destroying the interior material). Could you please elaborate a little bit more on your concerns connected with the sleeves length?

@@SewMuchBlack Took some pics: imgur.com/a/1I6Swaf I've convinced myself to add the loopholes under the armpits :P.

Even though it's techwear I like how versatile it can be even for more casual wardrobe styles. Appreciate the vids. Keep up the good work.

youve just earned yourself a new sub. granted its just me, but hey its a new head to count. i really appreciate the vids youve put out. i love your creative process. plus i do not believe in spending 60 all the way up to 120 dollars for a device to keep my pants up.

Thank you very much! I am very thankful for your appreciation and trust! I agree, if the belt is just to put the pants up it does not have to cost much. I do believe in the worth of good design, so I am perfectly fine with spending money for a product that I either cant or dont want to make myself. But there are very affordable options, too.

@@0scuraa Yes, a video of a packable sling bag is in production at the moment! filmed it a while ago, testing the bag the last two months while grocery shopping, and I still have to cut the footage. In the next two or three weeks, I guess. Thanks for your patience!

Those are the Helikon Tex Outdoor Tactical Pants. These are a variant from their tactical pants design, I own both the Urban and Outdoor Tactical Pants in their line up. Pretty much the only pants I wear since about two years, holding up well so far.
