a chop on the one can avoid clashes .Making an edit so you can mix on the outro but do not play the whole song which could drain the energy from the floor.Using cue points or having tracks flipped with serato which is like making an edit or using loops to extend intros outros or instrumental sections or just knowing the structure of the tunes you are using so you can use these tools more effectively and then of course there is stems.....

on that first mix i might use an echo out or a filter as i am taking the first track out or the one i am bring in is looped so i can time the loop to stop at the right moment as a mixthe first track out Where there is a danger of clashing vocals a looped intro can be useful..just remember to take the loop off once the mix is done

In the first example a cue point on the first track is used. What if you do not have this cue point? How do you know when to start the second track?
@ClubReadyDJSchool9 күн бұрын
Depends on the genre, but you could go and set some cues (eg: find where you want to mix (eg: end of chorus) and set cue point 16 bars earlier to give yourself time to mix in over the end of the chorus). Hope this helps xx

@@ClubReadyDJSchool If I set a queue point 8 bars before the drop on every song that I have, it will help a lot. For some reason I thought it would be useless, thinking that adjusting the bpm would make the points not line up well with another song even though its beatmatched. well, time to download mixed in key lol. Thanks for the reply!!!!!!!!!

I’m just learning to beat match by ear but I’m struggling, by the time I have matched both songs the vocal on the incoming song has already started and it doesnt sound good, is this just a case of practicing to get quicker or is there a way you can give yourself more time like looping the intro of the next song maybe?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I can't believe I watched this entire video and there was NO mention of the elephant in the room. The being STEMs tied into your mixer. They give the flexibility to do SOOOO much with your mixes and they will only get better.
@ClubReadyDJSchool11 ай бұрын
I thought I did mention this or perhaps I mentioned it in an earlier video promoting this one, either way, you are right, stems clean things up big time, yet stems on club gear, unless you are wanting to use club gear like a controller, is not really a. thing yet. So good t know both ways I believe.
