There are two options in the settings that cause the camera to do its own thing during combat. I turned them off and haven't had any more issues with the camera bugging out since. Might be placebo though.

Your advice has been absolutely invaluable. If H Star Rail had a similar system no wonder i crash a burned in the game so fast. One thing ill mention for echos. It is absolutely useles to farm them until you can get 4 and 5 star ones. Just use what you have and start investing/farming later down the road at high bank tiers.

2:32 This is borderline 'it depends' advice. I have a full time job and 3 kids, so one would think I'd want to be as efficient as possible. However, because I like using so many of the characters, I've built many (~7 or 8 of them) in a horizontal progression sort of way. It's taken a long time, but I will take my time with the game because there's really no rush. Hard locking is only a thing if you assume you have no time to recover. I have all the time in the world, it's just spread extremely thin cumulatively compared to say, a single college student who can play whenever they want outside of school and to whatever length. If you want to be absolutely as efficient as possible, sure his advice is great. But not everyone cares about that, even in cases where you might assume they do. Also, skill matters much more in a game like this. You can circumvent 'trash damage' im most cases with good reflexes. This is a good thing especially when you compare it to things like bullet sponge spiral abyss.
