Thanks Andrea for making this bracelet. I am new to beadwork and can't wait to create this bracelet too! Last week I made an even count peyote bracelet with matching necklace and earrings. It came out beautiful! I'm so excited to learn more new stitches in beadwork and can't wait to try this one! Love your instructions, very clear and concise! Thanks again!

You are a great teacher. Thanks for this video. How would I extend this to add a gentle curve to make a necklace? Or do you have another video that shows this design using flat spiral stitch to make a necklace. Thx.

I love this bracelet, and have made it in several colors, and styles. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach this style....

Hi! If you want to use a Nymo type thread, then yes, I would suggest a wire thread protector finding so that the clasp does not cause stress wear on the thread. If you can, I would suggest running the thread several times through the thread protector, just to reinforce the strength.

Hi Dawn, Andrea who designed this bracelet is no longer with the company, she moved to be closer to her family. We offer a wide range of 11/0 seed beads to choose from on our website. You can also check out the beads she used to make the bracelet featured in this video by clicking on the links for the Mille-Pattes Bracelet and the Holly Wreath Bracelet located in the video description underneath this video.

Thank you for the compliment! We can add your idea to our request list. We have a policy of not copying other artist's work, but I think what you are asking for is a general technique video of a popular idea and we are happy to put those on the list :)

@beadaholique, @andrea: Thanks a lot for this wonderful tutorial. I just finished to do this bracelet with two size of crystal bead (big in red, little in transparent) and black Czech seed beads 11/0. This bracelet is very easy to do and so gorgeous!! Thanks a lot. :)

Hi! I have not worked with fishing line for bead weaving so I unfortunately can not attest to how well it works, however, I have heard of people using it.

@gatafierrra - Thank you for the compliment and yes, you will want to keep working on the bracelet from the same side for consistency. We do have a beaded toggle clasp demonstrated in the video - How to Bead Weave a Toggle Clasp

This bracelet was made by one of our former designers Andrea. I just need to guess at what she is using based upon the video. It looks like she is using a mix of 11/0 brown seed beads from the Toho collection. These were probably just some pretty ones she had leftover from other projects, so I would pick out your favorite shades of brown. The bicone is a SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS 4mm bicone in what looks like Jet Nut ->

You can use other shapes of beads but will need to adjust the outer row beads accordingly and it might also result in a different looking bracelet since the spacing will be different. You will need to experiment.

Hi! Without being able to see your beadwork, my best guess is that your tension is too tight and that is why you are getting a "winged" effect. Try to not pull your thread as tight and see what happens.

All jewelry will tarnish to some extent over time and how quickly it does is really a matter of what elements it is exposed to - lotions, perfumes, chlorine, atmospheric factors, etc. These particular clasps are really well made and sturdy. They are not Sterling Silver or solid brass/copper which tend to tarnish quicker then some other metals and plated metals.

Very nice technique! You've cautioned about using Nymo-type thread for the project, especially for the toggle addition technique. What about using one of the thread protector-type of finding? I really do like Nymo for most of my projects. Thanks, again, for the nice presentation!

The antique toggle clasps and what not that you use, do they tarnish and go that grey/green colour, or that reddish colour after awhile? I have been reluctent to get them as though they look good, if they/when they tarnish.
