Oh, my god. I've been looking for a good fiberglass and silk tutorial on youtube for the past three days and most I've seen who did it were people doing a review or trying out fiberglass wrap for the first time. This is os very efficient and helpful, thank you so much!

I have been getting acrylics for 6 years, every now and again I take them off and I have to say that my nail underneath is only soft but no damage, the softness goes after a day or 2 though, the woman that does my nails says the damage done is from over filing the natural nail when applying and filling, I believe her because she doesn't over file and as i said, there's no damage.

@redhead1720026 жыл бұрын
Many times when people are allergic to acrylic it's because the nail tech is getting the product on the skin ask them to avoid doing so. I've had many clients say they are allergic to acrylics when really they are allergic to the primers. We use. Ask for a hypoallergenic primer or ask for no primer.

Is applying the stikr (resin?) and the spray damaging for the natural nail underneath? I already have quite long nails but want to reinforce their strength with wraps, but wouldnt want to hinder their natural growth/health.
@backscratcherssalonsystems76086 жыл бұрын
We have had great success with the wrap system because it doesn't damage the natural nail. We have clients that have had wraps with tips ( Fiberglass/Silk) on their nails for years and when they soak them off l the natural nail underneath is healthy. They then just wrap their natural nails just for extra support.

Salma, I’m a licensed hairstylist and for nails. I do get my products professionally from Cosmoprof and other places, as well as Sally Beauty Products, which you don’t need a license, I love Sally’s. if you’ve never done silk wraps or fibreglass buy the less expensive kit and give it a go. I tried it and did find it time consuming and hard at first. I practised and did a really good job after practise. The professional kits difference is the quality of glue and activator. Get the strips that you cut yourself instead of the ones precut. You can costemize the wrap yourself. My personal opinion is all systems are good for nails it’s how you take it off you do damage and nail looks frail and awful. I do shellac and gellish and wonderful system but if you pick at it with your teeth or your fingers you’ll see the damage. It’s not even the files whether machine or not. Electric files can definitely burn your nail and weaken it I know cause it happened to me until I mastered it looks easy but I guarantee you it’s not. It’s picking at your nail and trying to remove it rather than soaking it or filing it the correct way. That’s only my opinion and experience and not everyone has to agree and you have a right to disagree. Thank you 🙏🏻
@allisongood-loney938510 жыл бұрын
Does this system have any form of acrylic in the ingredients? I had tried a new nail supply place and was sold a fake Chinese product instead of the name brand I asked for and developed an allergy to acrylic, I'm going nuts not being able to do my nails since I cut so much hair I keep getting my nails and they look horrible. I've been trying to find an alternative.
@backscratchersvideo10 жыл бұрын
Allison Good-Loney, absolutely not. We sell quality products that contain only products listed on the ingredients. You are not the first story we have heard about "fakes".
