Thank you for identifying the implicit bias behind language. I realize how imperative it is to identify my own privileges even as a black woman. Society has attempted to lead me to believe that I am a part of the minority. However from A sense of academia my first language is English. What if I am reading a journal from someone whose first language maybe Urdu? I will be sure to check my biases especially when I am reading Works from international academicians.
