Once upon a college time my base running course was starting at the foot of the hills as flat stretch and evolving into the climb after "hair pin" like turn. Had no idea it was progressive running, though now I know why my peroformanse was progressing darn fast for an amateour. Some "cheating short cuts" were apparently uphill HIITs, and shortened easy flat stretch runs combined with gym and Sauna were "recovery runs".

If I'm working late, I'm normaly to tired to train but a favorite of mine is to run bout 6Km. I start steady then after every Kilometer I drop 10- 15sec on my splits till it hurts. Then when I'm finished which is bout 35min. I'm finished and more happy that aleast I did something. Progression running not talked much so Great Video

This is my favorite way to start my training, in particular the first phase is always a warm up, in this way you avoid injuries.

Ending a long run with marathon pace miles is very effective, if you can’t hold your goal marathon pace then, you won’t hold it for the whole race.

I do negative split runs all the time. Sometimes on purpose. Sometimes on accident. I tend to start out slow to conserve energy so I can use it later. Negative split runs are great training.

My favorite structured run is a "unstructured" long run. Just allowing it to take its course and not having any expectations since I do my long runs at the end of the week on very, very tired legs!

I thought about quitting mid run last night. I realized I could if I wanted too. The only loss is giving up. But I realized I made it far already so why be a quitter? What other parts of my life will that translate over if I do? I finished the run😤😁

Does Fraser's accent got thinner? Or is he putting more effort in his enunciation? Normally I have to focus to fully understand what he's saying. Whatever, his presentation skills improved greatly so it's a win.

Do you have any advice on how to prevent getting bitten by mosquitos when cycling and running in the summer? Obviously, one wants to keep as cool as possible but mosquito repellent is useless when you are hot and sweaty!!….I get ravished by them as soon as I cycle through a forest or near inland water! Ideally, I need to be covered head to toe but able to keep my body at a cool temperature. Lycra isn't the solution!!
