@Rubi Tools I have bought this machine 2 months ago, and the supplied blade is terrible, can you recommend a suitable blade for chip free cutting of full bodied porcelain with this machine. also I have had to add my own draught excluder strips to several parts of the base to ensure adequate dust extraction when dry cutting. it seems as though some simple additions could have been incorporated which have been left out for the sake of saving expenses. All in all I have spent a lot of money on what I feel so far is not a very good machine for what is is advertised for.

We would recommend the TCR or CPC blade for cutting porcelain. The TCR will cut through it faster, in case you have many cuts to do.

We have a tile product that is 20mm thick (NEOTRA STONES) and made of hard porcelain. We want to perform miter / 45 degree cuts. Please let us know what machine & blade would be suitable for these cuts.

What blade would you recommend for wet cutting mitres in 10mm porcelain on the tc125? I’m in the U.K.
@RUBITools Жыл бұрын
We offer many blades that can wet cut 10mm porcelain. All the red blades you see at the link below are specifically designed for cutting porcelain and you can use any one of them with the TC-125 as long as you get it in 125mm or 115mm diameter. www.rubi.com/en/wet-cutting-diamond-blades-f17

@@RUBITools that would be grate but according to the web link you sent me the smallest any of those red blades come is 180mm. do you make a wet mitre blade to fit the tc 125?
@RUBITools Жыл бұрын
For the specific purpose you're looking for we'd actually recommend the TVR www.rubi.com/en/hard-material-diamond-disc-turbo-viper-tvr-r778 You'll see that it's not red, but it's just as capable of cutting porcelain and even harder materials. You'll also see that it's designed for dry cutting, but it's always a good idea to wet cut even when you're using dry cutting blades. Regardless of whether or not the blade is capable of dry cutting, using water to cool it down as you cut is always a good idea. The same is true for diamond drill bits.

Hi which is the reletion between cutting time and material thickness? In other words if I have a 6 mm porcelain tiles which is the rate? thanks
@RUBITools2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the blade that you use. But if you are using a blade adequate for cutting porcelain, you should be able to cut through 6mm pretty quickly.

Hello. We tested this cutter many times with different materials and blades, and we can assure you that with proper use it leaves an impecable finish.

That was such a rough cut. I’m sorry but you gota do something about this unit. There is no way it should be such a beat up mitre or 90 degree cut. It looks like crap in your demo vid and all the review pics so why would I buy one?
@RUBITools3 жыл бұрын
Well, remember that the quality of the cut depends a lot on the blade you use, the materials you're cutting, your technique, etc. Also, this video is a few years old. Since 2019 we've made some pretty big improvements on this machine. All that said, you're right, this cut doesn't look great.

I know this video is mega old now but it's the supplied blade that gives the terrible cuts. The machine itself is excellent (I've just purchased one) but it really needs a Ridgid brand blade in it (can't remember which one but it was very thin).
