Okay, I was on the rink today and I focused on the down the rink thing and it indeed stopped the slide outs and it worked better. Just like when I used to do salchows on roller skates the goal is trace a reverse "j" not a "c".
@xxXThinIceXxx8 жыл бұрын
Good job. Great way of putting it J instead of a C, I might have to use that :)

I'm getting a lot of slide outs on my double Salchow take offs and those are definitely scary. I think I should probably try that down the line exercise on it. I'll look at my tracings next time I go to the rink. I'm probably pulling too far to the inside.

Greetings! Really nice figure skating tips! This is new tip to me, but will try it :) I am struggling with my Axel jump. Seems like I need little more of rotation to finish the jump. Do you have any tips for that maybe? Also maybe back spin?

@edmundgeswein8 жыл бұрын
Watch it through a mirror😀 The edges are the same, just the opposite feet and direction of turn. Clockwise rotators would take off on a right inner back edge and land on a left outer back.
