Awesome video! I’ve devised a way to do reverse entries in a car with stock angle. First you have to flick your car really hard into the corner, like you’re setting up for a 360 entry. Then, instead of letting the wheel counter rotate like usual, keep it at full lock into the corner, and make sure you depress your clutch. The car should automatically start to come back around, and as it is, then you can countersteer and throttle. Though, this technique is very hard to make smooth.

That 240 on the simulator looks exactly like a 240 drift car I built with my neighbor in 2002 when I was 18

Awesome vid. How important is the alignment? What do you run. I've heard one source say -8 degrees camber up front is too much for backies because your front wheel will have too much of a contact patch, not allowing it to slide.
@EvanWoss4 жыл бұрын
It's impossible to give specifics since every car, setup and driving style will require different alignment specs, but as long as you can overcome the grip of the front tires, you can do backies. Caster also plays a big role in contact patch at full lock. Front tire pressure and compound are the easiest things to tune to free up the front end. Go send it and tune our any issues before worrying too much about theory and setup. To answer the original question, I usually run 3-5* negative camber on my cars coupled with low ackerman and 7* +/- caster.

Great tips! Have you done anything with the oil pump nut on your 330ci? or is it not that big of a concern?
@EvanWoss5 жыл бұрын
It's definitely a huge concern. I welded it as soon as I got the car.

do u have a link to that e46 mod :)
@marcfindeisen36075 жыл бұрын
Did you need to weld your rear Subframe? Or did you just drift all these years without worrying about getting cracks in the achsle-mountings?
@EvanWoss5 жыл бұрын
Marc Findeisen subframe plates were the first thing I did when I got the car. One side had a pretty decent crack from being street driven by an old guy for 90k miles.
