You are just precious. Loved watching your sweet happy spirit in this video. You uplifted me and made my day brighter. Now for my comments: I LOVE that shirt with the green pants. Very cute! I'm so glad you made this video to show how you made the FBA in your pattern. You are a magician with fitting and sewing. I'm learning lots from you. So thank you Joy! Your new feather material sleep shirt fits you perfectly. I LOVE that fabric as well. Why oh why don't I buy these fabrics when I see them. I guess it's hard for me to envision what they would look like made up into a garment. I see them and think "I don't want to wear a bunch of feathers" but once it's made up into something it turns out so cute. Arghhh...kicking myself right about now. LOL Have a great weekend and stay cool. Our hot weather is finally going to show up this week.

@@Joy4650B You mentioned a FBA course on Bluprint by Jenny from Cashmerette Patterns. I think the following may be something you and your Viewers would like to know. I received an email from Cashmerette and they stated the following: "We're offering all Bluprint customers who bought our "forever" class a free subscription to our Fitting for Curves workshop, which covers all the same content as the Bluprint workshop plus much more. Our Cashmerette workshops work in a very similar way to Bluprint, with high quality teaching and the opportunity to ask questions to Jenny. To get your free class, all you have you to do is send us proof of purchase to hello@cashmerette.com. Please note that this offer is only for Bluprint users who have purchased the FBA class to own forever, not for subscribers of Bluprint's unlimited streaming plan. Once you've sent us your proof of purchase, please allow about a week for us to get back to you due to the volume of emails." I hope this helps with at least one of your Bluprint classes Joy!

Your gowns are precious! Watching you & Judy & Peggy is renewing my interest in making my own clothing after many years, although I have so many questions I’d love to ask you about all these methods of pattern adjustments. That’s why I stopped sewing for myself so long ago.....most things I made just never seemed to fit right and I had no idea how to go about making the patterns work for my body. You make it look so easy and what you’re doing makes sense but I hesitate to dive into Judy’s system or Peggy’s, wondering if I’ll even know where to start. On a lighter note - please don’t forget to finish your story! 😁

Don't use Peggy's (Silhouette Patterns) patterns!!! They will give you trouble. Directions are very poor. Use Fit Nice or Sure-fit Designs. Hey Joy, rather than printing off all your Bluprint instructions you could save them to your laptop as a pdf. The way to do it is to go to print as normal and then go to where you select the printer. When you drop that down you should be able to select to print to PDF. When you print it will pop up with a box so you can name it and put it in the folder you want so you can find it later. 👍

Depends if you want to have bust darts and waist darts or not. For simple, pull over the head garments, I would use Fit Nice. For tailored garments with zips, buttons, darts, collars, etc., I would use Sure-fit Designs. For your tummy, just add more circumference in that area. Measure the paper pattern in the tummy area and make sure it is several inches bigger than you are. You must have ease.
