I bought those crimpers and fittings when I updated my ensuite as they matched the fittings that were used when the house was built. Nowadays though, it seems all the fittings for sale are "push" fit fittings that don't require crimping.

Interesting video how you guys in Australia are working. Is this a mega requirement to use black plastic pipes for cold water and red for warm water ? Next year I will immigrate to adelaide. I am also plumber in germany.
@QLHTilingWaterproofing Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for tuning in yes you can use red for hot and black for cold welcom to australia

Not a requirement, just for ease of identification. Can just run all black for hot and cold if you want

Hi, I have an old bathroom that I am trying to renovating my self. I was wondering if you could suggest what to use to connect the old copper shower pipes to the pex pipe. I am trying to put in the new shawer mixer😊 TIA Or if you have easy videos that shows the old shower renovating jobs would be great 😊
@peterkilleen3061 Жыл бұрын
There’s lots of videos on KZbin that show this, US based though. Search copper to Pex conversion. You cut the copper pipe, solder a new connection joint piece tk the copper, then attach and crimp your Pex pipe to that. But in Australia this all has to be done by a registered plumber. Such a joke as pretty simple if you know what you’re doing
@glennmcintosh6833 Жыл бұрын
You say needing a license is a joke yet you use the incorrect pipe size.

Make sure to put some silicone around the pipe where the hole.

I assume this is to stop the pipe bashing about in the hole when water turned on and off?
@hungnguyenquoc9487 Жыл бұрын
@@peterkilleen3061hi peter, i think so, my friend who works at bunnings and who is a father of two plumbers also told me to do the same. Use some neutral cure silicone (parfix all purpose will do). This will keep pipe in place.

Hahaha bro please don’t teach plumbing if you are not plumber. It should be 35mm back from the stud. Leaving room for stud, and 10mm for tile. 😂😂
