In this video I go over how to drill juji-gatame from the guard position.
First, have your partner kneeled down with his toes raised up and his arms straight out. If you're starting with your right side then you want to place your right leg around his hip and your right hand placed next to his left inner thigh for stability.
Next, you want to bring your left leg to you, pop your hips up with your butt off the ground, and bend the leg in a semi-hooking position as if you're pulling your partners head down to a juji-gatame roll.
Once you finish the first move, you want to come down with the leg that is in the air and have your other leg next to your partners hip push off to help you rotate and transition to the other side.
When you reach the other side to perform juji-gatame with the other leg, you want to place your left hand now in between your partners right inner thigh, have your left leg placed next to his hip, shoot up with your leg in a hooking position and have your butt off the floor again.
Once you can drill this over and over with no interruption, you can perform the whole move with your partner grabbing both of your lapel.
