0:35 A good description of Uchi Mata, with the leg doing the lifting. With harai goshi, it’s not the leg that does the lifting - rather it’s the hip. That’s why it’s classified as a hip throw. The leg is there to stop the opponent stepping over as well as to rotate their body midair.
@Nicolas-xk1kf20 күн бұрын
The leg shouldnt do the lift, uchi mata is hip throw, lift with hip, leg is just there to trip the leg.
@Hobofobico20 күн бұрын
@@Nicolas-xk1kf There are many types of uchi mata. The original one is ashi waza, feet technique. Even in nage no kata it's classified as such, and it's an inner reap, with some leg lifting as well. There are ways to perform uchi mata with the hip of course.
