I found this video a few months ago and it's helped me a lot... Good luck trying to get David Haynes to do a little tutorial on how it's done.... Most musicians are like this... They act like they don't want to pass on knowledge, it's an insecurity that maybe someone will actually become as good or better than they are if they shared a little knowledge. I've found this to be true of ALOT of musicians. Thanks for the tips, this is what KZbin is for

Sick method my dude, I dig it and it makes sense do it according to how you feel comfortable but also with your own style, it's weird I layer everything diagonally starting with kick 1 or 2

This is amazing it is so helpful, I'm on the mpc 2000xl but of course the system will work with any drum machine with pads so thank you so much I have a quick question when you were playing that snare roll at 5mins and 10 sec were you doing it with 2 different snares or just that one snare on the right? I love how that sounded man, thanks once again.

Thanks for this. I am practising your technique on a Maschine MK2 and it's working really well... :) It's an accurate kit representation.

Ey! nice vid, i'll probably follow your method. I'm thinking about starting to practice finger drumming. I don't have a pad controller and I'm thinking about getting either an akai mpd18 or a korg nanopad... wich one would you recommend me?

Great sounding playing. How long did it take to get to this level of proficiency?
@bangomargit12 жыл бұрын
Hey bro! Id appreciate if you answer me this question. How long does it take to "disconnect" my hands from the other. I mean to be able to do different rythms with my hands without any concentration. Right now (i just starting finger drumming in reason with a pc keyboard) its really hard to for example do hihats with left hands and drum/snare with a right. I basicly have to totally shut out my left hand when i do my right, but that means i cant switch up the hihats for faster/slower bpm.

Is that an MPC5000? It looks like my Korgd1600, but with pads of course haha. I rock the MPC2000XL and I love it. (along with SP1200 EMAX1 as far as sampling equipment. The MPC is the workhorse but I would like the pads to be a little bit smaller and more responsive, It seems like the piece your using in this tutorial can mimic a drumroll, mine can't. Any suggestion as to how I can get a drumroll type snare without having to sample one. I'm a sucker for the tripled roll ta- ta-ta.

nice.. i play really like araabmuzik on the pads left hand kick an snare an so on ,,, right for hits an sounds but i sometimes find it hard to have the hits goin like this the way araab do it.. its hard to have ur hands doin that ha ...this might help sound!!
@HighFlight0912 жыл бұрын
@illumelittatoxicants i have the 1000, but my response on the pads aren't as responsive like yours. Ive used a 2000 before and i would barely even tough the pad and it would hit. Why is that? I don't have to hit my pads super hard to get sound out of it, they all work properly, so im just asking how did you get ur pads to respond the way you do? I messed with the sensitivity and it didn't help at all, and i been reading about some pad upgrade or something, did you upgrade yours?

How can you use a loop thru the whole song and keep it from being boring. I listen to a little wayne song, and they used that same sample all the way thru the song. The only thing I can guess is that the whole beat w sample was resampled and tweeked in realtime with param knobs making slight hardly noticeable changes which only the ear can sense. Can you help. Thx for your time.
